Chapter 5

953 Words
Fleg I was back in the forest where blood has drenched the forest ground. I look around with sharp eyes to detect any new threat. I hear a rustling nearby and got ready to fight but something or rather someone stops my movement. My legs are rooted to the ground and I see a gorgeous angel step out from behind the trees. She is the one I saw in the bus that day! She has a horrifying expression on her face. Her skin is ghostly white as she stares at the bodies littered on the ground. Her head starts to shake and her body trembles like a leave. I am unable to move or talk as a force around me is restraining me. Her eyes snap to mine and I feel a spark travel in my entire body. She knocks the breath out of me and I am left gasping. The girl screams and I struggle to move forward but I collapse.  I wake up with a sudden jerk and take in my surroundings but there was no forest surrounding me. I was in my room. Confusion wrapped its arms around me and I ran a hand through my hair in exhaustion. What is going on with me? Why am I feeling this way? What was the meaning of that dream?  The day I saw her in the bus I felt something shift inside me. I felt the light from her presence penetrate into my body and through my soul. I felt the hard walls around my heart c***k and her warmth seep into the cracks and wrap itself around my heart.  Destiny has a cruel way of playing with our lives. I have an eager urge to see her again but I know that she can never be mine. My world is very dangerous to survive in. We walk hand in hand with death every day and if she gets exposed to my world, death will surely knock on her door and wrap its deadly arms around her.  I can't let that happen!  I won't let that happen! I scratched at my chest leaving behind red marks. My heart felt heavy and its weight felt like a burden on my shoulders, pulling me down deeper into a place of utter distress. I wanted to claw my heart out so that I stop feeling this way around that girl.  Killing made me feel at peace and right now I wanted to kill, wanted to go on a hunt but I controlled my temptation. I put on my black robe, stepped out of my room and walked down to the basement we had solely for training. All the weapons decorated the basement walls from top to the bottom. No negative space was left empty. There were all kinds of weapons from swords to tiny pocket knives all of them always ready to taste blood. I picked up a medium-sized knife, ran a finger on the blade to savor the feeling of the shiny metal on my finger and turned to the wall ahead of me and flung it to the wall. Bullseye! I picked another knife from the table and threw it in the opposite direction. It flew with force and hit the middle of the wooden statute right between his eyes! I did this for another three hours till my arms felt heavy and my limbs ached. I felt my temple throb and my body begging to shut down. Just as I was ready to return to my room I heard the sounds of whisper coming from behind the wall. I walked near to the wall and the whispers grew more frantic. ‘’We need to inform the master about this.’’ That is Jake’s voice! Who is he talking to? ‘’No, no please. He will kill me if anyone gets to know about this.’’ The other person begged. ‘’I think we should leave before someone sees us.’’ I heard the footsteps walk away. Whatever they are plotting I am going to find out soon. I walked back to my room and my brows knitted together as I pondered over what they were talking about. I ran my index finger against my bottom lip rubbing against it back and forth as I paced across the room. Whatever they were plotting it surely had to do with Mario.  My jaw clenched at the thought of Mario. I grabbed my black cloak and walked out of my room and down the stairs with my brown leather journal. I walked out into the forest to the spot where I can finally have some peace. I remember coming to this place with my master. The master who taught me everything, who made me into what I am today, a barbaric assassin who plays with death. This world is a evil, evil place my son. If you let your weakness show, you will meet death at your doorstep faster than you can blink. That was one of the lessons taught by him.  When I reached my peace spot I sat down against a huge rock and started to sketch. After a few minutes I heard the sound of rocks crunching as someone walked towards me. I took a defensive stance and held the handle of my knife which was hid under my black cloak discarded on the ground ready to fight.  I jerked my head up and it was her!  _______________________________________________________________ Hey, my beautiful readers!
