Being left alone for days after that last awful encounter was actually a blessing in disguise. It gave my body a chance to start healing, which I was seriously grateful for. Less injury definitely ups my chances of making a clean escape. The only major problem was the whole not-being-fed thing since I was snatched. My energy levels were dangerously low. Once I did manage to get away, the first order of business would be hunting down something quick to eat to get my strength back. Then there was the big question of where to escape to. Going back to Draven was out of the question, and I didn't even know what part of the planet I was on. What if I managed to break free only to stumble into an even bigger, nastier predator than her?
