I just can't wrap my head around it. How can my parents trust Ray so much?
Even when Nina talked, Mom still took Ray's side, saying everything Ray does is because he cares about me. As for Dad, Nina said he didn't have much to say.
Nina was on the morning shift today, so when I got home, she was already there. Of course, I headed straight to her room as soon as I got home.
"Dad didn't say much when I spoke. But Mom... she still didn't believe what I said. I even had a long debate with Mom, and Dad just watched, you know?" Nina chuckled.
"Moms, right? They just keep on talking. It's like their battery is on double power or something. They never want to give in."
