Chapter 1 – The Beginning of a Dream
The morning sun had just begun to brighten the village. As always, life was already in full swing. Some villagers were opening their shops, while others had left for the fields. Children ran through the narrow lanes, laughing and chasing one another.
Amid all the hustle, an eighteen-year-old girl named Aarohi was running toward her house, tightly clutching an envelope in her hands. A bright smile lit up her face, making it obvious that something wonderful had happened.
She was so excited that she failed to notice a small stone lying in the middle of the path.
The moment she took her next step, her foot struck the stone, and she stumbled, falling flat onto the dusty ground.
The children nearby burst into laughter.
"There she goes again!"
"Aarohi will never learn to walk carefully."
Aarohi simply looked at them and smiled. Dusting off her clothes, she carefully checked the envelope in her hands before getting back on her feet. Without saying a single word, she started running toward home again.
As soon as she entered the house, she called out excitedly,
"Mom!"
Her mother hurried out of the kitchen, concern written all over her face.
"What happened? Is everything alright?"
Instead of answering, Aarohi held the envelope out with trembling hands and a beaming smile.
"Mom... I got into the dance college!"
For a brief moment, her mother's eyes sparkled with happiness. She pulled Aarohi into a warm embrace, holding her tightly.
Unfortunately, a few villagers standing outside overheard the conversation.
Within minutes, whispers spread through the street.
"A dance college?"
"A girl from our village is going there?"
"This isn't right."
Hearing their voices, the smile on Aarohi's mother's face slowly faded.
She gently held Aarohi's hand and said softly,
"My child... speak a little more quietly."
Aarohi looked at her in confusion.
"But why, Mom?"
"Because not everyone is happy to see your dreams come true."
Aarohi remained silent for a few seconds. Then she looked straight into her mother's eyes.
"I haven't done anything wrong. I only want to follow my dream."
Her mother lovingly placed a hand on her head.
"I trust you with all my heart. It's the people who scare me."
By evening, the entire village square was buzzing with the same discussion.
"We have to stop this."
"Otherwise, every girl in the village will start dreaming the same dream."
Completely unaware of the gossip surrounding her, Aarohi stood in front of the mirror inside her small room.
With a gentle smile on her face, she practiced her dance steps over and over again.
Every graceful turn reflected the dream she had cherished for years.
She wanted only one thing—
To become a successful dancer and make her mother proud.
As the night grew darker, an unknown man stood silently outside the house, watching it for a few moments before disappearing into the darkness without a word.
Aarohi had no idea...
Her life was about to change forever.
