"No not really, but I probably should." I say pushing myself up off the ground but I'm definitely not happy to go back. It's probably close to eleven. "Yeah..." Hazel says getting up. I pick up the blanket as she picks up the sundae cup. We walk back to the car in silence, we probably would talk but it feels like everybody from the other cars are looking at us. Which is very unnerving. Once in the car Hazel says. "Did you like the sunset?" "Yes, I loved it but having someone to share it with made it better." I say turning to Hazel with a smile. Being with her made the night even better. "I'm glad you liked it. I'm sorry for that guy, I just reacted usually I don't lie but..." She says but stops. "It's okay." I say confused, I don't have any idea why she's apologizing. I would have done the same thing. Hazel starts the car and back out of the Sunset and Sunrise Cliff parking lot. We sit there quietly, not know what to say. There really isn't anything to say.      That's when I realize I'm still holding the blanket. I unbuckle to put the blanket back in to back seat not thinking anything about it. With out thinking a push myself on to the middle part in between Hazel and I. I'm about to put the blanket down when Hazel steps on the brakes for something. I go flying into the back, my legs going over my head. "Oh my god!" Hazel says in shock. So here I am laying backwards on the middle back seat. I feel fine just a little shook up. I hear the door to my left open right after I heard Hazel say something. "Oh my god, are you okay!" She says with worry and shock clear in her voice. "Weirdly enough, I feel fine." I say still upside down. I turn up right, I'm not even sore and for some odd reason I want to do it again. "You have no idea how scared I am right now!" Hazel says offering me a hand. I take it while climbing out. "I can guess." I say, I know how scared I would be. She pulls me to my feet and that's when I feel my legs shaking. She pulls me in to a hug. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to make you fly into the back. There was another car that pulled out right in front of me." Hazel says. "Hey, it's okay." I say pulling back just enough so that I could see her then I hug her back. We stand there hugging, neither one of us wanting to let go. I put my head on her shoulder, feeling exhausted. Guess my adrenaline is wearing off.      I can feel Hazel tense as my head lands on her shoulder then she just holds me closer. I think we're both scared of what could have happened if she wouldn't have stepped on the brakes. Then one of our phones starts ringing making me jump. We reluctantly let go of each other and head back to the car. It's my phone ringing and the ID says Victor, uh oh what does he want. I answer. Victor: Where the f**k are you? School as been over since four thirty! Me: Ugh, can't you speak quieter. Victor: Fine but where are you, I'm coming to pick you up. Me: No need I'm on my way home now. Victor: Then what has taken you so long?! Me: Why do you need to know you're not mom or dad, you my brother. Victor: Your older over protective brother, so what have you been doing. Me: A lot. Victor: That doesn't explain anything. Me: Well first I got out of school late, then I went to get ice cream with a friend, then we went to Sunrise and Sunset Cliff to watch the sunset, then we were on our way home but almost got in a car accident. There I told you. Victor: I've got so many things to say. First of all it sounds like this person is more than a friend. Second of all why did you get out of school late? Third how were almost in a car accident?! Me: So I got out of school late because there was so many people blocking the halls. Some car pulled out if front of us so she stepped on the brakes. You done with the questions? Victor: Yeah, bye. Me: Bye.      "You have a very worried brother." Hazel says laughing. "Yeah I know right, he's called me twice since I wasn't at home." I say laughing also, even though I'm exhausted. "Well, you wanna try going home again?" She says looking over at me with a smile and I nod. Leaning back into my seat we start driving home. I close my eyes. I'm so tired. I'm about to fall asleep until I feel the car coming to a stop. I jerk myself to stay awake. I look up just to find a stop sign, that's why we were stopping. Well I can throw the idea of falling asleep away, if I keep jerking myself awake every time I feel the car stopping. "Hey, Hazel?" I say looking over at her. "Yes, Leigh?" She say taking a look at me before looking back at the road. "How do you think today has been actually?" "What do you mean?" "Like first I get hit in the nose a low, then we get ice cream together a high, then we watch the sunset together another high, then we almost get into a car accident and I go flying into the back seat another low." "Oh, well I think today was good. I don't like to think of the bad things that happen, just the good things." "That's a nice trait to have." "How do you think today was?" "I think it was amazing." "You mean, you liked getting hit in the nose and flying into the backseat?" "No not that but having been able to spend the day with you made it better." "Awe, that's the nicest thing that anybody's ever said to me." "Oh." I say not know what else to say than oh. Then before I can stop myself I lean over and kiss her on the cheek and say. "Your welcome." With a smile.
