The class just gets over with when the teacher calls Hazel and I up to the front. "Yes Mrs. Nile?" Hazel says/ asks. "I couldn't help but notice that you two signed the talent show papers, and I'm one of the teachers in the committee for the talent show. I can't wait to see you girls in the show and if you'd like I can take the sheets and put you on the list of contestants." Mrs. Niles says with a smile. I've noticed that when the teacher is excited she moves her hands. When she moved her hand on her wrist was a rainbow bracelet and on the other wrist was a tattoo of the woman loving woman sign. Mrs. Niles is lesbian! This is so cool! "Oh, sure. Here you go." I say handing her my sheet, as I do Hazel does too. "Awesome." Our teacher says moving her hands again and I think Hazel saw the bracelet or the tattoo this time. I say this because Hazel has her eyes locked on to Mrs. Niles wrist. I think Mrs. Nile notices and looks at her wrist. "Oh." She say with a laugh. "Oh, sorry for staring!" Hazel says. "Oh it's fine, I think you two are the only ones who noticed." "Wait, so you are?" I say before I could stop myself. "Yeah." "So am I!" Hazel says. I look over at her in shock, she's so open about it... "I mean I could sort of tell." Mrs. Niles says which makes me even more surprised, I've heard of teachers being able determine students crushes and they put them together on purpose. Does Mrs. Niles know I'm lesbian too? Does she now Hazel's my crush and that why we are seating together in the back.
