The Count screamed, but all of them had been prepared and steeled their mental defenses. Luckily, they all had skills to resist the constant mental attack from the Count, which slowly corroded the will of his foes through what, granted, did sound like horrendous speeches.
Bertram stormed the Count first, and his team followed up. They had planned for this using the last half a day or so, and that preparation showed itself. They continually suppressed the Count, Joshua searing it with powerful light magic and Maria bombarding it with fire arrows that left flames that refused to burn out.
