I was nervous once again. I didn't know what to expect today. If I remember correctly, Aero had dark blonde hair and gentle blue eyes. He had a thicker beard then Edmund but still looked less intimidating than the other two. I got dressed with help from Venus and Samantha. I wore a simple lavender sheer gown with a matching cape. I took a deep breath and headed to my ship so I could head for the planet Nix.
As soon as we approached the center of the planet to head to Aero's castle, I noticed a huge monument of my parents. This was the first planet they liberated during the great war. I had never been here but I heard many stories about the good times and the bad. Aero's castle was on the water. It was tall but not that wide. It was still very beautiful though. Aero was waiting for me by the bridge to enter his castle. I took another deep breath before stepping completely off my ship. He had a smile on his face and that made me feel a little better. He let out his hand and I took it in mine. He then led me inside. Suddenly, I was surrounded by two griffins. They were humungous but very friendly.
"I'm glad they are so taken with you," Aero said.
"I am too," I told him. "Couldn't imagine what they would if they weren't," Aero called for them so they would stop caressing my legs. They quickly ran to him and he motioned for them to run outside. They quickly took off and flew into the air.
"They're amazing," I told Aero. He smiled and led me further inside the castle. There were so many paintings on the wall. Most of them were of my father and his father. Aero caught me staring at them and said. " I admire the phoenix king. I think everyone on my planet does."
"Well, I admired my father greatly,' I replied. I was confused by his devotion. I guess he would be very interested in marrying me and potentially taking the throne from me. I shook the idea out of my head and tried to enjoy Aero's company.
"I wish to get to know you better," Aero said. "I think we can be good for each other." And with that, I was disturbed again.
"I think that sounds wonderful," I told him as genuinely as I could. "You seem ni.ce." He smiled and I felt bad. He maybe wasn't a bad guy but he gave me such a weird vibe. He was just as dreamy and handsome as Edmund but he was just less intriguing. Aero's griffins came back into the room.
"This is Diamond and Emerald," Aero told me.
"They are adorable and so sweet," I told him. They liked being petted by me. They both came to lay beside me.
"So you are an air spirit holder," I said.
"Yes, I was overjoyed. Not many people are spirit holders on my planet," he told me.
"Oh, I didn't know that," I told him.
"Yes, Nix is not a very big or prosperous planet but my family has always been trying to change that. We made sure to rebuild the planet after the war," he explained to me.
"Well, from what I have seen, the planet is beautiful," I told him. "I will do what I can to help ensure it is more lively and better than before."
"That sounds wonderful," he said. "I would like to take you to the ruins of Calli." He took my hand and we walked outside. Diamond and Emerald followed closely behind. As soon as we reached the ruins, I saw the battleground where my father and mother fought to free Nix from dark spirit holders. My heart started to ache and I felt angry. My mind was suddenly filled with images of the battle. I couldn't breathe. I felt the agony and pain of those fighting.
"Are you okay?" Aero asked. His voice was so faint but I heard it. I tried to speak but I couldn't. I saw those horrible creatures from my dream again. They all stared at me and ignored the faceless enemies they were just fighting. They then rushed towards me and I tried to move but I couldn't. As they were about to pounce on me I suddenly fell back.
"Alexandria?" Aero called. I was taken out of my vision and looked up at him. He helped me up and asked me once more. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, I don't know what happened?" I said.
"It's hard for a lot of us to be here," he said. "Many of my people died before your parents helped us be free again."
"Yeah, I just felt so much pain," I said to him.
"You are very special, and with all of your gifts I can imagine you feel so much more than most," he said. I looked around the ruins and thought about what just happened. I have heard many stories about the past wars but I have never seen such conflict. I had this horrible feeling that something bad was coming and I was afraid that I was not prepared at all for it. Aero walked me back to my ship and I petted Diamond and Emerald one last time. Aero took my hand and gave it a kiss.
"I wish to see you again, Alexandria," Aero said to me. I gave him a half-smile and said
"I would like that too." I got back on my ship and headed back to Callisto.
I decided to go to the trinity spirit church before I headed to the palace. I kneeled down in the center and asked the spirits to answer me. To answer my last question I asked them.
"Please, help me understand everything," I said. The spirits all circled around me until they all swirled up to my face and shot into my eyes. All I saw was fire and a pair of eyes. They were dark red but I recognized them. I had seen them once before and they belonged to .....
