AMELIA I moved through my morning rounds, my body performing its duties as usual. The hospital hummed with its usual symphony of beeps and patients moving around. I finally resumed my job at the hospital. I had enough time to mourn and now, it was time I had forgotten everything. I checked vitals, administered medications, and offered pre-op reassurances to anxious patients. My eyes still held that hollow look, but I tried to mask it very well.
