Chapter Two: The Mystery Man

589 Words
Parker could not believe his eyes as he walked into the grand ballroom. Amelia was sitting in a chair looking like she was going to bolt for the door at any moment. He couldn't help but smile a little inside. Her father, Richard and her mother, Ophelia were standing off to the side a little. He walked up and greeted them shaking Richards hand. He approached Amelia and she finally seemed to recognize who he was. He bent down and offered his hand but she seemed to be elsewhere. He cleared his throat a little and it brought her back to the present. She was so beautiful he thought to himself.     She had grown so much since the last time he had seen her. Her breasts had filled out and they were voluptuous. He almost couldn't look away from them. He noticed how the red of her dress complimented her skin. And her face was like that of an angel. She had a perfect jawline and freckles speckled all over her face. She had the cutest little button nose and her lips were so perfectly shaped and full. Even the little mole above the right side of lip was perfect.     As soon as their hands touched he knew instantly she was his mate. He felt the electric shock go up his arm and his hand started to tingle. He had always dreamed that Amelia would be his mate. His inner wolf howled.                                                                                                    Amelia:     I can't believe I have found my mate, Amelia thought to herself. She hadn't thought of the possibility that her mate might actually be here tonight. Hoping for the best and not thinking about the worst. This was a common thing she did and one would think that at some point she would learn her lesson. Although her inner wolf was ecstatic she was less than thrilled. She wanted to run and be free and do whatever she pleased.     Amelia looked over at her mother and father and instantly her parents knew she had found the one. Her father announced the news to everyone in the ballroom. There was clapping and joyous congratulations from everyone in attendance. Her brother Asher approached and embraced Parker patting him on the back. He turned to Amelia and hugged her tightly. Asher was truly happy for his sister even if she wasn't.                                                                                          The Next Morning:     The party went on for quite some time last night. It was well after midnight when she had been able to excuse herself from the night's festivities. Parker had insisted on walking her back to her room. He hadn't wanted to leave her side but he had given her some space. Now she found herself wondering where he was almost missing him. Odd she thought to herself. As soon as she had thought it that there was a knock on the door. Slightly hoping it to be him she opened the door. It was her mother standing before her holding a tray of food for her.     “ Breakfast?” her mother asked. Her mother slid past her and into the room. She set the tray of food down on a small table near the fireplace. Amelia sat in the chair closest to it and started to eat. “Thank you mom” She said. “You're welcome” her mother replied. After a little while she looked up to see her mom eyeing her while she ate. “Your father and I are very happy that you have found a mate” her mother said.
