Chapter # 12 Activated powers: Heat part # 1

The following day when they went to school, Mat and Dav met with their friend Paul;

"Hi, Paul!"

"Oh, hey! How are you guys doing?"

"We are doing well, thank you for asking and how are you?"

"Well, I'm doing great and you seem a bit tired Mat; you okay there?"

Mat saw his expression and got a bit shocked by his behavior but he remember that Angel told her that he knows about him and both are friends too maybe that's why he is asking or maybe he knows what happened yesterday. He was so busy with his thoughts that Paul, couldn't resist asking him again;

"Hey, Matty! you okay?"

"Oh, sorry, and yes I am perfectly fine."

"Well, I don't think so you are!"

"Why, I mean how can you say when I am fine."

"You space out just a few minutes back and a normal person doesn't space out unless they are worried about something or something is bothering them; I do believe."

"So, you mean I m not normal"

"Oh God, no Mat I'm just saying that the way you are right now seems messed up or worried about something and I don't mean that about you; we are friends dude."

"Sorry, and yes something is bothering me and I don't know what that is?!"

Paul look at him and look at Dav and by tilting his head and clicking his tongue and ask Dav to give them a bit of privacy because he want to know what is bothering him Dav without uttering a word just nodded and left while Mat was still lost in his thoughts. Paul grab his hand and went straight to his favorite spot in the school where no one will disturb them while talking. Mat saw the spot and feels good by the view as it was on top of the roof when he looked around an abandoned roof were nothing but some dumps which are of no use he look back to Paul and asked;

"This place is beautiful with the views and rusted from within."

"Yes, just like ourselves; I mean we are perfectly handsome at least I believe I am and muscular too but rusted from the inside with sadness and chaos which keep growing instead of reducing."

"Sorry but you never mention anything more about yourself and the way you look and act must say people adored you."

"I know right? Well about me what should I say, I'm an orphan and..."

"Sorry for interrupting you but you already said those and what I want to know about you is your personality, what type of person you are deep down, and how you know about me?"

Paul stared at Mat and looked down then he went to the edge of the roof to see the view and took a deep breath and come back to Mat and stood face to face and said;

"I do believe you know about me as Olivia told you if I'm not wrong"

"What- how - how did you know about her?"

Paul chuckles slowly and took his hand and finds a place to sit and offers him his water bottle to drink water and calm himself, then said;

"You know Mat she is right you are kind of an aggressive kid but don't worry I'm here to clear your doubts and tell you everything about me you want to know but all I need in return is you should relax and listen to me carefully, alrighty Matty?!"

"Sure, I will, and hope you don't mess up."

"Great! So, first my name you know already and my family you about them too. So, what you don't know is about me and that is fine too I will tell you about myself as well. I am half human Mat just like you and I can live in this world and the other world the funny thing is we both do have powers as well but my brother your powers are like hell as compared to mine and Olivia's. I can fly, get invisible, and even can freeze anything or anyone but you! For you, my powers are nothing you can do far more kinds of stuff than I do. I mean it's legit also sad and why sad because people like us aren't welcome in any world not this or that and it's kind of orphanage feeling which I'm already but this asshole powers make it worse and that's the reason I become the punk in our school but for the good reason before I was bad like really bad and I did kill some evil spirits but now I'm totally fine and good too."

"So, you mean whatever you said right now I should believe you just by the blink of an eye where you don't have proof?"

"I knew it you would ask a question like this but don't worry I got you; what do you want me to do now?! fly, get invisible, or freeze you??!"

"Well, anything which makes your words a bit worthy to hear."

Paul laughed and look at Mat and within a second his feet get up from the ground when he tried to fly a bit higher he started to get invisible but only can be seen by Mat. He winks at Mat and gives him a smirky smile while raising his left eye borrow and freezing Mat and coming down laughing;

"So, buddy how're my tricks can you unfreeze yourself now?! I don't think that would be possible for you because you still don't know your strength and that makes you weaker than me."

Mat was frozen and he tried but couldn't unfreeze himself and he thought to call his Angel but then refused to call her because it seems like he is the crybaby and always gets help from a girl while thinking that and with these embracements while watching Paul laughing at him he got a bit pissed off which activated a fire in him and he notices a bit he got unfrozen. So, he get angry and within a second he melted the ice while Paul was busy laughing and then he realized to unfroze him he try to look for a bucket to fill it with water and but while searching he turned back and get shocked while seeing Mat standing in front of him.

" Damn son! how did you do that?"

"Well, I do believe you can freeze and I can burn."

"Wow, dude that's cool, it means.."

"You can be helpful and help me to activate my powers or at least tell me about those which I don't know about myself."

"Done, a friend in need is a friend indeed."

They shake hands and Paul talks about the experiment he did to learn about his powers while going back to classes. But when Dav saw them he got a bit jealous and that feeling activated an evil split around him which makes him hurt himself with the pen he was holding by inserting the nib of the pen in his other hand and even he got hurt he didn't scream or utter a word but smile wickedly.
