Perry looked around the room he was in. It was a police questioning room.
Mary had betrayed him. She'd probably told Melissa that he was at the cottage in the woods.
And Melissa had called the police, revealing Perry's hiding place.
That could be the only reason the police were now getting ready to question him.
The policeman in the room right now was Officer Mad.
Perry laughed at the irony. That was seriously what the officer's badge said. The name certainly fit the dude's attitude, too.
Officer Mad paced the room with his hands behind his back. He finally sat down at the table in middle of the room and slammed down his fist, saying, "Do you know why you are here?"
He expected a confession.
Perry laughed to himself. If that's what the officer wanted, than a confession he would give.
"I stole chocolate from the candy store." Perry smirked. He was trying to get the officer to laugh.
It almost worked. Officer Mad cracked a smile but then his lips turned back into a thin line. He wouldn't be tricked into being distracted.
He was on a mission. That was obvious.
"Sir, we need you to cooperate." The other officer in the room - who didn't have a name badge on - said.
"No can do. Sorry fellas." Perry stated. He desperately wanted to be invisible but this wasn't a movie. He couldn't just randomly get a power.
Life didn't work that way. IT wasn't that easy. You couldn't just will things to happen.
Or could you?
"Put him in a cell. Maybe he'll cooperate after spending a night in jail." Officer Mad said.
Perry now realized how dire the situation really was. "No," He begged, "Please don't put me in jail. Let me explain why I killed her."
Too late, he realized what he had just done. Accidentally, he had confessed to hurting Aliza.
The officers smirked and took him to his cell.
Soon, things would change.
While Perry was put in his cell and Melissa was facing her new enemy, Mary, a masked figure watched from close by. One they did not expect to ever hear from or see again.
