Alessia's Pov I stare at my phone, thumb hovering over Leo’s number. My heart is pounding, but not from fear—at least, not the kind he’s used to. I need him home. I need to see him, to talk to him, to feel that wild, unhinged energy that only he brings. I’m tired of being ignored, tired of being left in this gilded cage with nothing but my own thoughts and the ghosts of his touch. So I do the only thing I know will work. I dial his number, and when he answers, his voice is all steel and smoke. “Alessia?” I let my voice tremble, just a little. “Leo, I think someone’s outside. I—I heard something.
