Unknown woman POV: As I ran inside with the 2 pups. I had a bewildered look on my face. I was panting and could not believe my nose. That scent it was familiar, so why did it scare me so much? I had no idea but I did believed I needed to get inside as fast as I could. I told the pups to stay in the living room and walked into the kitchen where my son Avery was making an apple pie. It smelled amazing and made my mouth water. “What’s wrong mom” Avery asked me. “There is a rogue out there son, I could smell it. it scared the crap out of me” my son looked at me angry and ready to fight “that can not be! There are no rogues in these woods we have killed them all! Just so we could be safe out of the hands of the elders so we could live a normal life!” I put my hand on his arm to calm him down as I looked at him with pity in my eyes. I love my son but his heart was broken. His chosen mate the woman he loved the most in the world was killed by rogues just a few years ago. After that he went nuts and killed every one who came close to him and his pups. The elders had put a hit out on him causing us a lot of problems. Of course the elders did not listen to reason and we decided to leave, the pack we once had was dead all the wolves murderd or left to join others. And I felt sorry for him. He loved his pack life and was not made to live alone. So I left with him to take care of the pups they had together and I was planning of doing a great job! So far the kids had grown up nice. They where just born when the rogues attacked and I ran with them for shelter. Since then they always looked at me for help. And I vowed I would keep them safe. Gaia Pov: As I was catching my breath, I saw some movement up ahead and heard the thundering of paws hitting the forest floor. In my panic I must have crossed a boarder of another pack and panic once again wrapped around my heart. With my heartbeat thundering in my ears and my lunges deprived of air I passed out and the world went black. As I woke up I had no idea how much time has passed. I was in a comfortable bed that smelled like winter. Caramelised apples and cinnamon. It smelled nice and I wrapped myself up in the blanket covering me. It was nice and warm and nothing like I had ever experienced before. I loved it but at the same time I was scared I had no idea where I was or how I got here. As I tried to contact my wolf I got no response and that frightened me more that anything I had ever encountered. As I head foot steps getting closer I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep as my heart hammers inside my chest making my ears ring and my breathing shallow. I just hoped and begged that the one who was coming did not notice any of it. Slowly the door opened with a little creek and the one walking in smelled like the bed. So it wasn’t some fabric softener I thought to myself. I heard a sigh and heard the person coming closer. “I know you are a wake” a deep and tire voice said. As I slowly opened my eyes I saw a man standing there. He had dark hair and deep blue eyes. He looked tired and I felt sorry for him. As I tried to speak no words would come out and I started to panic. My eyes darting across the room and my hands clutching the blanket. I began sweating and trying to talk but no words would come out. It was like something was holding me back and my vocal cords would not listen to me. “It’s ok” he said to me “my name is Mathew you passed out on the boarder of our lands, you can stay here and I will get you some food” I looked at him with wide eyes and I could not believe my ears. He sounded nice and like he cared. As I started to breathe again I realized I was holding my breath al along and my lungs started to hurt. I just nodded my head and laid down on the bed staring at the ceiling waiting for him to walk out. As I heard his footsteps retreating I lifted my head. I was still in my torn up clothes and my hair was a mess, but other than that I wasn’t hurt. I didn’t have a scratch on me. I looked around the room and it was a nice view. Modern furniture lined the room with the big bed in the middle. A large desk in front of large windows that over looked a forest with the mountain behind it. I looked at it longingly the place I have called home for so long looked far away. After a few minutes I heard the footsteps again and straightened myself. I smelled some bacon coming up and my mouth watered with just the imagination of eating the delicious strips. It had be too long since I had some and now I craved it. As Mathew walked in he had a plate full of bacon and eggs a glass of water and some fruit I had never seen before. He carefully placed it on the little table next to the bed and stepped back. “ eat some” is all he said before turning away and leaving me in the room. Mathew pov: As I closed the door I let myself sag to the floor. My back pressed again the door and my head in my hands. “She i a mute” my wolf said and he didn’t sound pleased “I don’t know, she really seems to panic when she couldn’t speak Ant” I heard a low growl and knew he was disagreeing with me “she does smell nice” and I couldn’t help but roll my eyes at his remark “ she does doesn’t she” I sighed again and lifted myself off the floor. I decided it was time for me to go down to the kitchen again. My brother Mike and my sister Jasmin were down there. The woman in my room has been here for a week and they helped me take care of her without the knowing of the entire pack. As I walked into the kitchen they looked at me “how is she doing?” And all I could do was look at them and sigh once more. “ that bad huh” Mike said as I laid his hand on my shoulder. “She tried to speak and panicked. I think something is really wrong. On top of that I couldn’t sense her wolf” I sat down at the counter and put my head in my hands again. Jasmin walked up to me and hugged me right “ she will be ok, she is just scared. Think about it Math she was probably running for her life and passed out. Only to wake up in a strange place in a strange bed” as I listened to her reasoning I couldn’t disagree. She must be scared out of her mind being here. She has no idea who I am I and what I am to her. Let alone she looked feral so who knows how long she has been out there alone and probably forgotten. I looked from Jasmin to Mike and stood up. “ I am going to check on her and hope she has eaten something” they just nodded and let me go. As I walked up to my bedroom I hoped she was asleep again and resting. We could all see she had been through a lot. She was just skin and bones with a tan but looked far from healthy.
