Something was wrong. Terribly wrong.
I looked around for Kassie. I needed to make sure she was okay. My gut was telling me she wasn’t.
I couldn’t feel her and I didn’t see her anywhere.
I moved away from the annoying girl actively trying to throw herself at me and found Heath and Crystal.
They were standing together, Crystal’s back pressed to Heath’s front with his arms tightly around her lovingly.
But no Kassie.
“Where is she?”
“I don’t know. She seemed upset about something and ran off,” Heath said.
“Upset about what?” And why the hell hadn’t I felt her being upset?
“No idea. We just assumed you had something to do with it. She was practically in tears and said she needed a minute.”
