She threw her phone down on the couch as if it'd suddenly grown fangs and stung her. She buried her face in her palms still not believing her eyes. Her body shook as the tears started to roll down her eyes and the sobs started to slip out of her. The weight of it all was too much to bear. The lies, the shame, the betrayal all crushed her chest. Arthur found her a few minutes later and when he saw her like that, something inside him snapped. He knew something terribly wrong had happened and the reason wasn't far-fetched. When he saw the phone on the couch, he knew instinctively what it had to be. He let out a curse, clenching his jaw before he went down on a knee as he crouched in front of her. He waited for a minute or so before he pulled her into his arms. That didn't seem to help
