END OF CHAPTER12 - KATOMI'S POV

'‘If you want to stay with him, we can come up with a plan for that too’' He said ‘'I just… I just don’t know if you’ll ever be able to tell him the truth about who and what you are, but I’ll think about it some more’'

I nodded and walked out of my dad’s office.

After washing my face in the upstairs bathroom, I continued up to my room where Bronwyn was waiting in my bed, the various chocolates and lollies scattered on the bed spread.

‘'Finally!'’ She squealed in delight ‘'I’ve nearly eaten everything’' She gestured to a pile of empty wrappers, I laughed and climbed onto the other side of the bed and curled up

‘'Ok’'She said, curling up next to me ‘I want details, don’t leave anything out, every word from the moment Alpha Wyatt confessed his undying love and devotion and everything that happened when you told him the truth and everything that happened in your car’

I rolled my eyes, but I did as I was told, not leaving out any details, we spoke and watched movies all day but around 2pm I took a nap and woke to find Bronwyn was gone, she’d left me a note saying I was snoring to loudly so she headed home, I laughed crumpled the note, and tossed it into the bin, I didn’t snore.

I looked at the clock and realized it was 11pm, had Wyatt come back? I looked around my room, it was even more trashed since Bronwyn was here.

‘Wyatt?’ I linked him immediately, eager to hear his voice ‘'Kai?’'

'‘Kat!’ He’s voice was relieved ‘'You’re awake’'

‘'No, I’m sleep linking you'' I rolled my eyes and nestled back under my covers ‘This is actually a recorded message’

‘'Soon Kat'’ He warned me for the second time ‘'Very soon, I’ll be using that mouth for something better then smart-ass comments’'

'‘You…I’' I blushed ''I don’t do that’'

‘'Yet’' He said casually ''But it’s good to know you’ve never let some boy put his disgusting c*ck anywhere near your mouth’'

'‘WYATT!’' I shouted and he laughed.

‘'Oh, the things I could teach you baby'’ He said seductively ‘'The things I’ll do to you, I can’t wait to explore that sexy little body of yours. Finding out what you enjoy will be extremely fun’'

‘'Stop'’ I bit down on my lip, blushing ‘'Or I’m cutting off the link’'

'‘No, don’t'’ He said quickly ‘'I’ll behave'’ I giggled, he sounded like the kid for once.

'‘Did you come back tonight?'’

‘'Yes’' He said, he sounded sleepy ‘'Around 7pm, but your father said you were asleep so I left’'

‘'You didn’t come up to my room, did you?"

‘'No baby'’ He said patiently '‘I wanted to, but I figured it would upset you, and I’ve done enough of that for a life time'’

'‘Good’' I yawned, how was I still tired ''Did you get some rest today?’'

'‘Not yet'’ He answered ‘'I have a few more things to get done before I go to bed'’

‘'What?'’ I gasped ‘'But it’s so late, you should leave it for tomorrow’'

'‘I like that you worry about me’' He said happily, and I could practically hear the smile in his voice ‘'But it can’t wait, I’m running this pack all alone, you know’'

'‘Is that so’' I rolled my eyes.

‘'Yes'’ He said smugly ‘You see my Luna can’t help for another twelve months, the slacker?'’

‘'Slacker'’ I laughed ‘'Just for that you can continue to run the pack all alone, even after I’m 18'’

‘'If I take it back, will you finally agree to be my Luna?’'

‘'Wyatt'’ I sighed.

'‘It doesn’t matter anyway'’ He said stubbornly ‘'You’re my Luna whether you want to be or not, if you don’t like it, take it up with the Goddess, she’s the one who wants you by my side'’

'‘You really are the most stubborn person I’ve ever met’'

‘'Dido'’ He laughed ‘How are you feeling, you still sound tired’'

‘'So do you'’

‘Well, my mate hogged the whole bed last night and kept kicking me, so I couldn’t sleep’'

'‘I’m sorry'’ I blushed, I was grateful he couldn’t see me.

‘'It’s fine, I have a big bed'’ He told me ‘'Even you won’t be able to hog the whole thing’'

‘'Geese, I wonder why you’d need a big bed'’ I snapped.

‘I’ve never had a girl in this bed’' Wyatt told me ‘You’ll be the only one I share it with, you don’t remember, do you?’'

'‘Remember what?’'

‘'You picked this bed out'’ He told me ‘I was in the antique store in the village, and you came in carrying your baby sister, you were about 7 or 8 I think, and you noticed I was in there. So you came over to say hello, and you asked me what I was doing so I told you, and you decided to help’ Wyatt laughed at the memory. I vaguely remembered this, Mia was crying, so I started wondering around to put her to sleep while Shay tried to calm down Jerry ‘'You took a hold of my finger and led me over to the bed you liked, you said you liked the carvings, so I bought it’'

‘'Just like that?’'

‘'It was your favorite'’ He said as though it was obvious

‘'Gosh I hope it wasn’t too ugly’ I laughed ‘I’ve never had the gift for interior decorating'’ I looked around at my room, it was so basic, a bed, bedside tables, a long mirror and mirrored table, two wooden draws and random chair in the corner covered in clothes, I had fairy lights running vertically down the wall above my bed, but I rarely turned them on

Wyatt laughed ‘'No actually it’s lovely'’ He told me ‘'You’ll see for yourself one day’'

I rolled my eyes ‘What were the carvings?’'

‘'Rabbit’s'’ He answered, and I blinked in surprise.

‘'I love rabbits’'

‘'I know:’ He said, how did he know that? Had I told him that before ‘'But you never answered my question, how are you feeling?’'

‘'A lot better'’ I told him truthfully ‘'Just tired, I feel like I could sleep for a year, but I have school tomorrow, so I guess that plans out the window'’

‘'School?’'

‘'Yeah'’ I commented ‘'You know, that thing kids go to to get smarter'’

‘'You’re smart enough'’ He growled at me ‘'I don’t think you should go tomorrow, you should rest longer'’

‘'I’m not ditching'’ I said in disgust ‘'I already missed school today, I can’t ditch for a second day’

‘'It’s not ditching'’ He laughed ‘'It’s a sick day’'

‘'No’' I shook my head ‘'I’ve never missed school, and I’m fine, I told you, just tired, I’ll be alright’

‘'Fine’' He sighed in defeat ‘'But no sports, just rest during PE, I’ll speak to your teacher’

‘Please don’t’ I gasped ‘'That’s so embarrassing, it’s worse than having your parents speak to your teacher, it’s bad enough everyone’s going to start treating me differently, I don’t need special treatment’

‘'Baby, it’s not special treatment'’ He’s voice rising grumpily.

'‘It is'’ I complained ‘'Would you do that for anyone else in the pack?'’

‘'No one else was attacked this weekend’' He pointed out.

‘'Please, Wyatt'’ I pleaded ‘Don’t speak to Mr Green, I’ll be fine’'

Wyatt sighed ‘'I’ll think about it’' He exhaled ‘But make sure you rest'’

‘Yes sir’ I rolled my eyes.

‘'The smart mouth of yours Kat'’ He mumbled ‘'What I wouldn’t give'’ Wyatt cleared his throat .

''Wait'' I said suddenly when something occurred to me ''How do you know I have PE tomorrow?''

''I have my way's'' He said dismissively ‘'You should get some rest'’

‘'So should you’'

'‘Yes Luna'’ He said back teasingly ‘'Good night baby'’

‘'Good night, Alpha'’ I shot back and cut the link before I closed my eyes and fell back to sleep.

DREAM

Katomi walked barefooted through the cold woods hidden in her black clock for warmth that was softly fluttering in the wind behind her.

It was late in the evening but the moonlight shone down as if to light her path through the dense growth, leading her towards the grave she prayed she'd never find.

Her loyal guard, Raygon walked silently behind her with his hand gripping the end of his sword, these woods were cursed and very rarely did anyone make it out alive.

Finally after two hours of waking, Katomi came to holt and her heart raced in pain.

It was here, just as her sister had claimed, the only truthful thing her sister had ever told her.

Katomi looked down at the grave, a rising pill of dirt with no tomb stone or any indication of the Fae buried below.

Katomi took a steadying breath before she held her hand over the dirt which began to move as if an earthquake was taking place.

The dirt began to rise into the air and fell to the side of the grave, making a small mound.

''Princess perhaps I should look'' Raygon said as he placed his hand on Katomi's arm.

Stopping her from looking into the now empty grave.

''Release me or I will remove your arm'' Raygon quickly let got her and stepped back as Katomi walked over to the edge of the grave site.

Once more she held out her hands and a body began to rise from the hole, it was wrapped in white cloth but no identifying symbols, a sign of disrespect for a Fae.

As Katomi lowered her hands, the body fell gently onto the damp grass, and she knelt beside it.

Her hands shook as she pealed back the cloth to reveal the face of the dead man, the face of her mate, he was dead after all.

Her entire body froze in agony and her eyes began to glow as her power came to the surface.

''I am so sorry Princess'' Raygon lowered his head and began to softly speak a prayer for the departed. Katomi stood up and returned her beloved to his grave, only this time she used her magic to construct a proper head stone engraved with his house sigal.

''Once I have my revenge, I will come back for you, my love'' She spoke to the grave 'I will move you to the tomb of the King's where you belong''

Katomi turned and looked at Raygon ''Gather my armies, we go to war!''
