Paul came out with swollen eyes and some bruises on his body, Esther was shocked she asked him what happened but he refused to tell her, and told her not to worry about it.

Esther sat down on the couch close to Paul's bed, she tried to tell Paul what was going on but tears just dropped down to her jaw. Paul was confused about what was going on, he guessed maybe someone died.

Esther couldn't find words in her mouth, she just kept on crying.

Paul used her head to rest on his chest just to calm her down.

Esther finally took the strength to say it out "My parents are forcing me to marry an old billionaire" she said with a shaky voice

She explained everything to Paul and this made him cry so hard.

He suggested that they should run away but there was no money to do that. Paul was so heartbroken and down but he just had to stay strong and face what life had thrown at him

"I will come back for you my love, don't be too hard on yourself," Paul said to Esther, she was confused about his words but she didn't say a word.

He kissed her passionately, her beautiful eyes were filled with tears

He reached out to brush her hair back from her face

She felt his finger on her skin, a sensation ran through her veins as if she was shocked by electricity.

He brought his lips close to her right side ear "I will always love you" Paul whispered to Esther's ear

It was getting dark Esther had to run home before it got extremely dark. On her way home she kept on thinking about Paul's last words to her, she was trying to figure out what he meant by "he would still come back for her."

Esther got home and met her parent in the sitting room and she just walked straight into her room. She was so angry at her parent for trying to marry her off to an old man because of money, they didn't care about her happiness

She jumped on the small bed at the corner of her room to rest her head, she got lost in thought until there was a hard knock on the door.

it was her mom "Esther please open the door, I need to talk to you" Esther's mom said calmly

Esther didn't respond to her mom but her mom wasn't ready to leave the door, so she finally opened the door but avoided eye contact with her mom.

I know you hate me, but this is for the betterment of this family" Esther's mom said with tears almost dropping from her eyes

"Douglas is coming tomorrow to see you, please don't act funny towards him and your wedding with him is next week, "Esther's mom said and immediately left the room not waiting to hear anything from Esther

Esther was extremely shocked that her parent chose a date for her wedding without her knowledge.

This got her wondering if her parents were the ones who gave birth to her or if she was adopted, Cause they don't care if she's happy or not

Esther cried all through the night until she finally slept off.

There was a very hard knock on the door, Esther jumped on her feet and realized it was morning already

The knock came again this time harder, "who could that be?" she wondered…

"Esther opened the door" It was Jessie her childhood friend.

Esther opened the door and Jessie jumped on her happily "It's been a while girl and I've missed you so much" Jessie said with so much joy on her face

"I've missed you too, when did you come back". Esther said with a smile on her face.

Jessie has been with her aunty in Atlanta and they've both missed each other.

The smile on Esther's face didn't last as she still had a problem to think about and her to_be_husband was coming that same day.

Jessie noticed how dull Esther's face was and asked what the problem was and Esther became emotional again

Immediately Esther was trying to tell Jessie what the problem was they heard a knock on the door, it was Esther's mom telling her to get ready that her to-be-husband would be here soon
