Calla’s POV
“You don’t have to do this?.” Dommy says and I hummed.
I needed to speak to father, Dommy is pretty worried about Dad’s associate and after hearing what Dommy said I’m worried about my parents. I don’t want them to be caught up in the middle of this, Andrew is just using them to get to Dommy.
“I need to do this.”
“You know I will always protect them.”
“I know.” I reply.
I’m worried Andrew may try to harm dad so I figured I could speak to dad, if he doesn’t trust Dommy then he would have some sort of trust in his daughter, I would be damned if anything happens to them because of me.
Dommy is still trying to figure out why Andrew is interested in me, in me being with him but I convinced him Andrew is just trying to get to Dommy, he wants to hurt and he knows getting to me would be the best of way hurting Dommy.
Dommy is worried this may go wrong, and he believes Andrew had something to do with his shipment that went wrong.
“What if he doesn’t listen.”
“We would make him,”
Dommy wanted to know some few things, he asked me to speak to father about it, maybe through those information we can find out what Andrew really wants.
“Did you tell your dad anything about us.” I know what he meant by that, I didn’t even know much about his mafia I made sure of that.
“No Dommy, daddy doesn’t know anything about mafia.”
“Calla I- I know Dommy you are worried, daddy doesn’t know anything.” I said interrupting him.
“What of your mom?.”
“She only knows where we live in New York and she knows all the places we have been during the year.” I say and he hummed.
I know what is on his mind, mom probably told dad who informs Andrew and if Andrew knows we have to get a new house, we are not safe.
“I don’t want any mistake, anything happens to her, you die both of you.” He says to the guards.
His voice sounded dangerously low, it was the calm before the storm, he is getting upset.
One thing about Dommy was that, he needed to know how to control his anger, he barely gets mad he makes sure of that but when he does it’s hell, I have seen Dommy angry just twice and it was ugly something I never want to see.
He assigned two of his best guards to take me to my parent’s home.
The drive to the house was short, they didn’t live far from our apartment.
I didn’t tell them I was coming, it’s more like a surprise visit.
The guards in front of my house recognized me and opened the door.
“You two can stay here.” I say to the guards, I expected them to argue but they didn’t.
Good.
I strolled into the house, mom and dad were in the dining room, Dsd was seated with half a plate while mom was pouring some juice into his cup when I got there.
“Callie you are here.”
“Alone.” I added.
“You finally left that bastard, where are your things?.” Mom smiles.
I can never leave Dommy, the faster they understood the better.
“No Mom, I’m here to speak to dad.”
“If it’s not about moving in then there is nothing I can say.”
“Daddy please.” I walked toward him and sat on the chair next to him.
“Daddy Dommy is not what you think he is? You trust me, you know I won’t be with someone that will hurt me or my family.”
“You were once hurt because of his family.” Dad replies, he sounded annoyed.
Fuck. Even when I was hurt it wasn’t Dommy’s fault or his family, it was mine, I dated the wrong person and his family were so generous to forgive me to trust me that I’m not working with the enemy.
“Daddy please, Andrew may have told you something’s.”
“The truth.”
“Yes it’s the truth but Andrew didn’t put it well, he made it sound like Dommy is all bad, I promise there is a lot of good in that man.” I muttered.
I wish he could just trust my judgement.
“What did he do to you Callie, you always listen to us before.” Mom says.
“I’m no longer a little girl Mom, I need both of you to trust me. I know what I’m doing.” I say and she rolls her eyes.
What ever Andrew said they really trusted him.
“Daddy please, you know this family for a long time and don’t you think it’s a bit hypocritical to not want me to be with Dommy because he is killer while Andrew is same as Dommy is.”
I know it sounded harsh but it is the truth.
“Andrew never lied about identity, Dominick on the hand I always saw him as something else but everything about that family is a lie.”
Is that what this is about? He is mad they lied to him. Dad always hated lies and I made sure I never told him one until now.
“You know they can’t just tell anyone.”
“I don’t care Calla, all I know is that if I knew their identity I would have never allowed you to be friends with their daughter.”
He sounded bitter. I hate it when I argue with my father, it was something we don’t do unlike me and mom.
“Daddy.”
“Leave that man Calla, you will find someone better, I don’t need my daughter in the hands of someone that kills,”
“He won’t hurt me.”
“What of his enemies, what is the guarantee he will always protect you.” Dad says.
“I trust him.”
“And I trust Andrew, he is a good person.”
Fuck.
“Daddy what makes you trust him, where did you meet this man.” I ask.
I hope he tells me.
“We met at the club, he had a good business proposal.”
“Daddy please don’t tell me.”
“He is part of the company,”
“Dad you made a mafia man part of your company.”
“That is my business, you choose to be with a mafia man and I choose to make one my partner.”
Fuck.
“Daddy I don’t trust him, he could hurt you or mom.”
“ I could say the same for Dominick.”
God he is acting so stubborn.
“Dad- I will make sure you leave that man,” he says, he sounded serious.
“I won’t.” I reply, tears brimming down my cheek.
I know what this meant, his home will never be open for me unless I leave Dommy and I can’t do that.
“I love you both.” I reply before leaving.
I walked out, my eyes filled with tears, I didn’t realize when I hit a wall or what I thought was a wall.
I looked up to be met by a pair of brown eyes.
“Beautiful.” He say then lick his lips.
Who is this?
“You must be Calla.” He says, I didn’t a word.
“Andrew.” I heard a voice from behind, it was my father.
Fuck Andrew.
Dad pats Andrew on his back.
“Calla meet-.” I left, I didn’t bother turning back.
He made his decision.
He choose Andrew over me.
