Chapter 4 Explaining powers/Looking For Macy

Titanna POV

(Having a conversation with my human, Macy. Explaining about our powers. The conversation is Macy's mind.)

Titanna: Ok Macy, like I said, we were chosen by the Moon Goddess.

Macy: Okay...Why?

Titanna: I'm not sure why, all the Moon Goddess said the details would be revealed in time.

Macy: (sighing) Seriously, you don't know why??

Titanna: No I do not know why?

Macy: So what can you tell me exactly?

Titanna: Well, I can tell you about one of our gifts

Macy: WAIT? One of our gifts? You mean to tell me we have more than one gift?

Titanna: Yes we do, Missy! (she grins happily) We only have one gift for now, but the other gifts will reveal themselves in time.

Macy: Okay (she said giddily) what gifts do we have?

Titanna: Ok first, the power we just released has 3 abilities

First, it can put out a force field that no one can get into unless we allow it.

Second, the force field masked our scent. No one will be able to scent us when we are in here. When the force field is down, then other wolves will be able to scent us.

Lastly, if we want to have a private conversation(like we are having now), or escape enemies, avoiding people we don't want to talk to the force-field can help. The force-field will redirect them somewhere else and not to us. Basically, the person could pass by us and they would be none the wiser. There is a downside to this though? The force field only lasts for about an hour, but its fine. It just means that we need train our gift. The more we practice this ability, the longer we will be able to keep it up. Also, we both need to be one for our gift to be active. If I'm hurt, Macy we won't be able to shift into our wolf or our second wolf form. Like I said, the other gifts will reveal themselves in time, and don't ask because I don't know what our other gifts are. So that's it! That's all I know about our first gift. So...thoughts Macy?

Macy just looked at me with her mouth dropped open. Her mouth was opening and closing, saying nothing. Macy was just completely shocked, that she didn't know what to say. I just laughed at her reaction to my whole speech. Like I laughed so hard that I fell on my back and continued on laughing. Macy just looked at me kind of embarrassed, that I was laughing at her reaction.

Macy: Ok Titi OK, it's not that funny (she said while grumbling)

Titi: (ha ha ha ha) Oh yes it was! You looked like a fish out of water after I finished explaining! (ha ha ha)

Macy: Can you blame me? This.. is..This..is.. Just...(sighing) a lot, OK?

Macy: (walking back and forth in her mind while Titi watches her process everything she just said)How is it that a girl like me, a girl that keeps her head in books because she loves knowledge more than anything else besides her dead parents and future mate (when we meet him), has this kind of power? Plus, apparently, it's not the only power I will receive. I'm just an Orphan, a nobody, a.. before Macy could say anymore, I stopped her.

Titi: HEY, HEY, HEY! (I look at my human and have a serious look on my wolf face)NOW YOU LISTEN HERE MACY JACKSON! YOU ARE NOT A NOBODY! YOU ARE MACY FRIGGEN JACKSON! YOU ARE THE SMARTEST PERSON I KNOW! YOU STUDY MEDICINE, CHEMISTRY, AND COMPUTERS, AND WHY IS THAT? IT IS BECAUSE YOU LOVE IT AND WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD FOR THE BETTER ONE DAY! THAT IS THE KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE MACY, AND I AM PROUD TO BE YOUR WOLF!

Macy: Thank you so very much Titi (she sobs)

Macy hugs me while she cries into my fur. My human is strong and resilient. I know the Moon Goddess has plans for us and trials for us to overcome. But I know my human and I can do it. Then suddenly Macy release her hold on me and stared at me confused.

Macy: Wait?

Macy: How do you know I went to school for all those things?

Titi: Hey, I was always with you, even though we have never talked to each other until now. I saw everything, the grief from losing your parents, how you kept it all inside and cried alone when no one was watching. How you held your head up high when you were being bullied in school, and lastly you finished school early and went to college/university to study what you want and to come back to shift into me and to see if our mate is here? Like I said, I don't know what the Moon Goddess has planned for us, but I'm glad I am paired up with you as my human Macy! I mean that.

Macy started sobbing again and went to hug me once again. She needed this. She has kept all the pain inside of her for so long.

I am making her a silent promise that I will never abandon her, she will never be alone. We will face what the Moon Goddess has planned for us together, and I will help her however I can to make her dreams a reality. By giving her pep talks and cheering her on, and helping her make difficult decisions, and helping her with training our gifts. Because she is my other half, and I am hers, and we will face what this world has to offer together. After 5 minutes or so she wiped her tears, and I helped as well by licking some of her tears away and Macy giggled.

Macy: Thanks Titi! I'm glad that your wolf and whatever the Moon Goddess has planned for us, we will face together.

Titi: Damn right we will girl!!

Macy POV

After the talk in my mind with my wolf, I was kind of wondering how I would get back to being human. Titi told me to picture myself in human form. So I did just that, and I was back in human form, naked. I picked up my clothes and started to head back to the house. Once I got closer to the house, Titi started pacing in my mind like something was wrong. "Hey Titi, why are you pacing back and forth? What is wrong?" I asked? "I'm not sure, but we need to get home right now", said Titi, still pacing and looking kind of agitated. As I saw the house in view there was an intoxicating smell in the air. It smelled like key lime pie fresh from the oven. It's my favorite dessert to eat. It was making my mouth water. "Mmm.. Titi, what is that intoxicating smell? It smells like fresh key lime pie out of the oven", I said. Titi was now prancing in my mind now, just a second ago she was just agitated. What is going on with her, I thought? "Macy, follow that scent , follow the scent," Titi said, very giddy and excited. I didn't ask what was going on because I trusted my wolf. Once I got home from the back, I looked around and didn't see anyone. So I went to open my back door. Just when I was about to open the back door, I heard the sound of the crunching of leaves. Someone was approaching me and the smell was now really strong. So I slowly turned around. That is when I saw my future Alpha Percy just staring at me with wide eyes as we both said the word "MATE"!

Third Person P.O.V (Percy and Patty are both looking for Macy but are going around in circles because Macy's force field is up and is having a conversation with her wolf. So no one can find her because of the force-field ability of making anyone who comes near walk right past them. Basically, it's like the force field is not even there. So they won't find her or catch her scent until she puts the force field down.)

Percy tried to follow the delicious scent in the woods, but then all of a sudden the scent disappeared. Like the scent was never there at all.

"Hey Clover, can you smell anything"? Percy asked his wolf". "No I can't, Percy, that is very weird. I was sure I smelled the delicious scent in these parts of the woods", said Clover. "What should we do"? Percy asked Clover." We should keep looking and sniffing out the scent. I don't know why, but I'm pretty sure whoever the scent belongs to will reveal themselves", said Clover. Percy wanted to ask Clover who the scent belonged to, but before he could ask, Clover went to the back of his mind and stayed quiet. Percy wondered if Clover knew more like who the scent belonged to and if it belonged to his mate? He tried calling Clover, but he didn't answer back. So Percy continued on searching. Not even realizing that he had passed the force-field, that Macy and her wolf set up to talk privately.

While Percy was searching, Macy was talking to her wolf in the force-field. Patty caught a whiff of Percy in the woods behind Macy's house. No, this couldn't be she thought? She started to run, wondering if the two were together? She couldn't let her dream of being the next Luna be destroyed by Macy the nerd. Patty was running, not realizing where she was running to when she hit a big solid wall and crashed to the ground."Jeez.. what the hell"? she said, rubbing her forehead. "Patty, what the heck are you doing here"? said a voice. Patty recognized that voice, it sounded like Percy, she thought. She looked up to see who the voice belonged to, and she was right about who it was. It was none other than Percy. She looked around, and she didn't see Macy with him. Then she heard Percy let out a breath like he was very annoyed and said "hey are you listening to me Patty what are you doing here?" he asked again. She got up and brushed herself off and told him the first lie that came to mind,"I just.. wanted to check out the woods, that all. My wolf wanted to go for a little run", she said, shining her pearly white teeth in the moonlight. Percy knew she was lying her butt off, but he didn't care, he had to keep searching for that delicious scent. It smelled like sandalwood cologne that he wears for special occasions."Okay, as long as you're alright I better get going," Percy said as he started to back up and walk away. Patty grabbed Percy's hand and said "Percy wait we need to talk?". Percy rolled his eyes and turned around looking at Patty, letting out a sigh he said, "what do you want to talk about NOW Patty"? (Putting a little emphasis on the Now because he didn't have time for her bulls**t) Patty looked at Percy. Her eyes look like they were about to water. It looked like she was about to cry yet again. Then Patty asked Percy with a look of sadness in her eyes, "why don't you love me anymore, Percy?" Before Percy could answer, Patty continued on saying "Percy, we used to be so good together. We were the King and queen in high school. Everyone respected us like an Alpha and Luna. When I found out we weren't mates I was devastated. I thought the Moon Goddess must have made a mistake. I'm perfect for being the future Luna. I'm a friggen Beta's daughter for goodness’s sake! I am adored by many, loved by my family, and most of all, I love you with all of my heart. I know I'm not your fated mate, but why can't we be chosen mates? I haven't found my mate and neither have you. Maybe it just means that we do belong together", she said as tears started to trickle down her face, and she sniffled a bit. Percy removed his hand from Patty's grip. Clover was done with this chick and wanted to bury her 6 feet under. So Clover tried taking over, so he could kill Patty and be done with it, and be on their way. Clover couldn't believe this she-wolf, she was crazy and Percy agreed 100 percent with his wolf about that. Clover knew for a fact that her wolf Wendy wanted her mate, and not a chosen mate. Patty's wolf Wendy was happy when her human was not together with Percy and Clover anymore. But Patty was on a mission to get that Luna title while Wendy just wanted her mate. Wendy tried to beg Patty again to leave Percy and Clover alone. So that she and Patty could find their mate. Patty was hearing none of it. She pushed Wendy to the back of her mind and told her to stay there and shut-up. While this was going on, Percy was finally able to calm Clover down. He would handle this and make Patty understand that there would never be an US, not now and not ever again. "So Percy, can I please be your chosen mate and future Luna please?, said Patty, begging Percy to please just choose her. Percy cleared his throat and looked at Patty. Then he went and said, "Patty, I'm sorry there will never be an US ever again. Back when we were younger, I was a stupid kid who fell in love with the most popular girl in school and wanted to have her. Why? Honestly, Patty, I didn't want to be alone. I saw all my guys friends getting girlfriends and I wanted that too. You kept asking and asking me if we should go out and I gave in. But Patty... we were bad for each other. What couple breaks up and comes back together 5–6 times. What couple doesn't respect one another's choices or decisions? I told you many, many times that I was not ready for s*x. I wanted to wait and see if we were mates. Even after we find out we weren't, you still kept on pushing it. Patty, I want to have a love like my parents have. I want to come home to my mate and cook dinner together with her. I want to watch her belly swell when she becomes pregnant with my pup. I see all this but not with you. You may think your mate is not out there, but I think my mate is and so does Clover. I'm sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear, but I am done with you. The only future I want is a future with my mate." When Percy finished his speech he backed up and said" I wish you all the best Patty, and I hope you find your mate soon". Percy was about to leave to continue the search when Patty asked a question, "Is your mate Macy Jackson, Percy?", Patty said, wiping her tears away, looking upset, hurt, and kind of defeated. "I don't know Patty, but I am going to find out"? said Percy as he turned around and left. When he left, she punched a dead tree that was right beside her. She kept on punching until the dead was nothing left but some dead pieces of wood on the ground. In her mind she said "mark my words, Percy Haven you will be mine. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but I will stop at nothing until you are mine". Patty's blooded hand healed after a few minutes while she was walking away. She needed to come up with a plan to get Percy and make sure that relationship sticks this time long enough for her to be marked and crowned the next Luna of the pack. The wheels in Patty's head started to turn as she tried to figure out a plan as she headed home.

Percy was tired. He really hoped that Patty got the message this time and stayed away from him. As he was walking he could smell the delicious smell again, and it was in the direction of Macy's house. As Percy got to the back of Macy's house he saw she was about to open her back door and stop. She turned around and both of their eyes locked as they both said the word"MATE"! Percy couldn't believe it! He was right! Macy was his mate! He walked up to Macy, and they shared a passionate kiss, which then became tongue as he fought for dominance in Macy's mouth. Which she allowed him to do. The kiss lasted a good 3 minutes and then they both stopped and let go of one another, trying to catch each other's breath. Then Macy spoke first, trying to catch her breath, "That was... Incredible!" Percy finished her sentence and Macy nodded. Percy grabbed Macy's hands and looked at her beautiful purple eyes, "You are so beautiful my mate Macy", said Percy. "So are you my mate Percy, so are you". Then Macy said the words that made Percy's heart sore up in the imaginary clouds, "Do you want to come in"? With tears starting to form in Percy's eyes, he said "Yes I would like that very much, Macy". So Macy grabbed the door and pulled Percy inside. What both of them didn't notice was that someone was watching all this happen , while masking their scent, so they were not detected. That person was none other than Patty Brown. She was on her way home, but she just had to know if Macy and Percy were mates, and sure enough she was right. She was hiding behind a tree while masking her scent, and it was quite dark. The moon wasn't shining where she was, so she blended in with the darkness. Patty was livid, she couldn't believe this. As she saw them enter the house, she stomped her way back home. She had to figure out a way to break up Macy and Percy, but she knew that the mate bond was strong. Given how her parents were always in front of her, or when they were alone together, when they didn't notice that she was in the room. She kept thinking and was thinking maybe she might need the help of a witch, if she wanted to destroy Percy's mate bond with Macy and have him fall in love with her... with a little bit of magic, of course.
