Reign Storm

Prologue

The sun rays that hit her face couldn't be ignored. She groaned and covered her face.

"Here we go again..."

Then Funmi came knocking at the door.

"Reign! Open up!!"

Reign got up lazily and walked to the door.

"Can't you just let me sleep?!!" Reign murmured and yawned loudly.

"You need to brush" she replied and walked into the room with a broom and dust pan.

Reign fell into her bed and buried herself in her blanket.

Funmi opened the curtains quickly and walked to the bed.

"Reign get up, NOW!!!" She roared.

"Ten minutes please..."

"Hell no!!" Funmi said and threw of the covers. She dragged Reign out of the bed and Reign kept on struggling. She struggled till she pulled Funmi to the floor.

They stared at each other briefly and burst out laughing. They laughed and rolled on the floor.

"You really need to brush Reign"

"Yeah, whatever..." Reign said and got up.

Funmi was Reign's Nanny, just a few years older than Reign.

She pushed open her French window and walked onto the balcony.

She stretched and yawned loudly.

"Nothing like the morning su..."

"Hello? Hello Axel... "

She was interrupted by a male voice from the compound.

She paused and stared at him.

She just couldn't stop staring at him. His voice, his physique, his movements were captivating.

"OMG..."

He looked around as if searching for something.

He saw her up and took off his shades.

"So handsome..."

By then she was leaning on the railings, supporting her face with her hands.

"Hello, do you.."

Before he could finish, she snapped out of her little wonderland and ran into her room.

"Seriously??"

Meanwhile, Reign rushed to the bathroom and brushed. She changed and went downstairs to see...

"There's my favourite girl!"

"Axel!!!" Reign screamed and ran into him and wrapped her legs around him.

"Jeez, when did you become so heavy?" Axel asked and she playfully pecked him continuously.

Meanwhile, the figure at the dining table didn't seem impressed.

He cleared his throat and they turned to him.

Reign and him stared at each other briefly before Axel spoke.

"Sit down Reign" he said.

They ate in silence till Axel spoke up.

"So Reign, Dad sent me to..."

"If it's about the bodyguard thing then no! I just wanna go home okay?" She said and frowned.

Axel sighed and lay back on his chair.

"Reign please, you can't go back home now"

"And why? Cause Dad doesn't want me there right??" She said.

"You don't understand..."

"Of course I don't!! I've always been the odd one anyway, nothing new... It's always the same old story" she said and dropped her fork loudly on her plate.

Axel rubbed his forehead and sighed.

"Reign I can't go against Dad's decision, and I went out of my way to get you a good bodyguard" he said and she rolled her eyes.

"You remember Jamal, don't you?" He said and her eyes widened.

“JAMAL”

A name she could never forget.

She asked curiously "yes I remember him, what about him?"

"He's going to be your bodyguard" Axel replied.

Reign and the stranger gasped at the same time.

"Really?"

"Yes" Axel replied.

"But where's he anyway??" She asked.

The stranger rolled his eyes and smacked her head.

"Still don't remember me Reign Storm??" He said and she gasped.

Jamal was the only one that called her 'Reign Storm'.

She didn't recognize him.

"Still don't want a bodyguard little sis?" Axel asked her, smirking like he knew he had won. He knew she hated being called 'little sis'.

Reign couldn't say a word.

Funmi walked in and took the dirty plates to the kitchen.

Axel immediately took his plate which wasn't really empty to the kitchen.

Funmi washed silently and sighed when she noticed him.

"What is it again?"

"You've been avoiding me" he said as he walked towards her.

"Why won't I?" She said and frowned.

"Is it about Pauline?" He asked and she paused.

She rolled her eyes and hissed.

"I have nothing to do with Pauline and you know that! Or is it about my mum?" He asked. He was standing right behind her.

"Pauline, your mum and everybody else Axel, I'm sick of this..." She turned just to bump into him and he held her.

"And I've been dying for this" he said before she could speak, he kissed her intently.

He pulled out and hugged her.

"I'm sorry, I really needed that"

He said goodbye and went out.

Funmi stood there for a moment before leaving to the dining room.

Axel and Jamal had left already.

"Hey" Reign said.

"Hey" Funmi replied.

"Let's watch a movie?" Reign asked.

"I'll get popcorn" Funmi replied.
