Dinner ended too soon or it could have just been me selfishly wanting the night to drag on so I could bask in the warmth a little longer.
Serena was more friendly than I thought and Jayden was even more disarming. Beneath the strong, commanding energy that marked him as Lycan King was an effortless charm . He didn't demand attention but held it, even from someone like me that was trying not to be drawn to him.
