Michael knocked on the protector, and Sonia came out of the house. "Michael, what's it?" Sonia asked Michael took a deep breath and poured out his heart. "Sonia, I want to tell you that I love you so much. I've loved you for a long time, and I had to tell you my feelings. I..." But before he could finish, Sonia interrupted him. "Just cut it there, don't go further. I don't have the same feelings, Michael. I don't love you." Sonia words were like a slap in the face. Michael felt a stinging pain in his heart. He watched as Sonia turned and entered the house, banging the door shut behind her. Michael stood there for few minutes holding onto the protector, then walked away, he felt sad, disappointed, and confused. He couldn't understand why Sonia didn't feel the same way. He thought they had a special connection, but now it seemed like he was just a friend to her. Michael layed on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.Sonia words replayed in his mind"I don't have the same feelings, Michael. I don't love you" Tears streamed down freely from his eyes, and his heart was broken. Days turned into weeks, and Michael struggled to come to terms with Sonia rejection. He avoided her, not knowing how to face her after being turned down. Mrs Justina relocated to the house she had built, while four men were parking their loads in a truck. Sonia and her mother stood at a corner, and the neighbors all came out of their houses to congratulate Mrs Justina. "Mummy Sonia, congratulations!" one of the neighbors said. "Thank you," Mrs Justina replied. "Mummy Sonia, we are so happy for you. Congratulations" Mrs Brenda and another neighbor, said. "Thank you all" Mrs Justina replied. Michael walked up to Mrs Justina and congratulated her. "Congratulations, ma," he said. "Thank you, Michael," Mrs Justina replied. Michael eyes met with Sonia, but she quickly looked away. "Mum, let's go now. The men are done loading the truck" Sonia said. "Yes, let's go now," Mrs Justina replied. Mrs Justina and Sonia entered the car, while the men entered the truck and followed the car. When the cars drove away, Michael hurried into the house and lay on the bed, starting to weep. "I'll miss you so much, Sonia," Michael said. Just then, his mother, entered the room. "Michael, stop crying and focus on your career. I warned you before to stay away from Sonia, but you didn't listen. Now she has stayed away from you, and you are crying over her."Mrs Brenda said Michael didn't respond,he was overcome with emotion. Meanwhile, Sonia arrived at her mother new house and started taking selfies around the house. "Mum, this house is beautiful!" she exclaimed. "Yes, dear" Mrs Justina replied and opened the door for the men While the men were arranging the cushions in the sitting room, Sonia mother asked her, "Sonia, why did you avoid Michael today?" "I don't know, Mum. I just didn't feel like talking to him."Sonia shrugged "Hmmm..okay"Mrs Justina replied Michael couldn't further his education due to lack of money, so he acquired a skill in furniture making. He learned every aspect of the trade and enjoyed every bit of it. One morning, Mr Jerry, Michael boss, informed him that they would be delivering cushions to a rich man. "Michael!" Mr Jerry called out. "Yes, sir," Michael replied, coming out of the workshop. "Good morning sir"Michael greeted humbly "Good morning and how are you doing?"Mr Jerry asked "I'm fine sir"Michael replied "Alright. That cushion we finished working on yesterday, we're going to deliver it right now," Mr Jerry said. "Alright, sir," Michael answered. Michael and his boss loaded the cushions into a truck, and the driver drove to Mr Gabriel residence.
