Chapter 10 Xavier walked out the side exit, which dumped into a back parking lot. He knew that Mitchell followed him but he wanted to ignore him. Jake was his concern. He texted Jake. Where are you? He rounded the corner, heading to the parking lot near the front where they’d parked. He looked at his phone again. No answer. Come on, Jake, text me. Where the f**k you are? He heard a car unlock electronically behind him so he knew Mitchell found his own car. He quickened his pace to find Jake. This was a neighborhood that neither of them knew. The Lavender Dungeon was situated off an industrial area but several blocks down stood a row of mixed use planning: a synagogue and then ubiquitous Chinese restaurants, spread here and there, that pointed like bread crumbs to the “real” Chinatown
