Afternoon - 14 days before Lydia dies. Three months passed since the angels came to earth. First was peaceful but humans wanted to show theirs superiority. No guns stand against magic. The wing-bearers brought havoc to the great cities. The world Lydia knew was dying. She was 80 miles away from her family, alone in a unknown city. Lydia was scared. But fate started to smile at her, the last bus was leaving the town today, she will finally get home. *** “s**t” . I whispered. I think I got lost. There’s no way. Furiously I spin around looking for the street sign. Dammit i’m so close. I took a deep breath and I turned right. Two months ago everything was perfectly fine. My studies were doing great , I could hang out with my friends and speak frequently with my family, well my grandpa at least. But now everything thing has changed. People too. I remember the first week after the attack , I was scavenging for food when a guy covered my mouth and picked me up. Realizing I was being kidn*pped , panic started to form inside me. I shook my head this is not the time to think about that. While I was deep in my thoughts a sound was coming from somewhere, like someone was in pain. Without thinking better slowly I headed towards the sound. There was a men in a pool of blood, obviously his own. Fearfully I walked at him. His face was pale almost like ash, he was dying , his eyes were closed and his breath was laboring . I have to do something or he will die. Grabbing him carefully by his arms I started to pick the guy up. He was surprisingly easy I got him on his feet and then he open his eyed they where a shade of gold like the one old icons . I blinked , he was not handsome in a conventionally way but he had something who took your breath away. Maybe the curve of his full lips or the shape of his cheekbone or maybe his black hair. Finally I took my eyes of him when I felt something wet on my hands, blood . The wound of on his back. Slowly I set him on the pavement to get a sight of his back, it was covered in blood but I could discern the v-like scars, the dying men in front of me was an angel and a wingless one.
