We couldn't get back fast enough. I refused to let him see me cry. I was so angry and hurt I couldn't control my emotions standing with him. I wasn't staying here. I was leaving to go away for the weekend with Luca, so what was leaving a day earlier. I shifted and ran up to the loft, grabbed my bag and threw some clothes in my bag. I left my phone on the kitchen counter, grabbed my keys and made my way down to my truck.
"Hey kiddo, you going somewhere?" Uncle Jack asked me as I passed him and threw my bag in the back of the truck. "I'm going to head home today. Luca and I are going away for the weekend, so I just thought I'd head there earlier." "Oh right, everything ok Lil?"
