Darren’s POV:
It was hard to believe what Maddie just asked me. She really asked if I was with Rachel and she mentioned something about a dream? What dream? Oh s**t. I immediately remembered when I told Maddie about me liking her and about Rachel being a scam, but she was unconscious that time and I really didn’t think she could hear it. Turned out I couldn’t be any more wrong because it seemed like she heard it, loud and clear.
I really didn’t know what to say. Telling Maddie would only put her in danger but I also didn’t want to leave her feeling confused.
‘ So Darren? Is it true? ’, she asked interrupting me from my deep thoughts.
‘ What sort of silly dreams do you have nowadays pet? ’. I laughed and tried to change the topic.
‘ Darren please. I need you to tell me the truth… ’,
