Darren’s POV:
I knew Maddie hadn’t had it easy but I never knew it was like this. She really poured out her heart and it made me feel really bad for her. I wish I could go back in time and change all that happened to her but sadly I can’t. But it helped us bond a little bit more, at least now she trusted me a little bit more even though I wasn’t completely honest with her.
I had a lot of things to attend to and I was late already. As I got ready to leave my study and exit the house, I heard a very loud thud sound from Maddie’s room. I rushed over there quickly and I saw her on the floor.
‘ What’s happening here? ’, I asked her quickly.
She stood up, holding her head. ‘Ouch’, she said.
‘ Uhm, Maddie… ’, I said and she looked at me. ‘What’s happening here?’, I asked her.
‘ Nothing? ’,
