What did he just say? Was he being for real? But why would he lie?
Thousands of questions rushed past my brain as it tried to process what Darren had just said.
‘What? How? When?’, I rushed Darren exclaiming as I asked each.
‘ After I left to go get you a drink. When I returned you were no longer there. I searched for you everywhere, when I finally saw you, you had passed out and you were about to be bitten by a vampire ’, he said, I was in shock and still couldn’t process it. ‘ I had no idea who the vampire was, but I stopped him. But the reason he went after you like that was because he thought you had no owner. Because you weren’t marked Maddie ’, he finished.
