Maddie’s POV:
I really couldn’t believe my eyes. My heart skipped a beat and my feet were frozen to the ground. I really didn’t know when my hands flew to my chest.
A huge smile made its way to Darren’s face.
‘ …Darren… this is beautiful ’.
No better word could describe what I was staring at.
I took a hesitant step forward.
Darren stood before me surrounded by thousands of flowers and twinkling candles looking rather proud of himself. He offered me his hands as I took the first step onto the small stairway that led to the gazebo I never really noticed was there.
‘ I’m glad you like it… I wanted something private but special for this ’.
My eyes widened at the sight of the small but elegant table set to perfection with a bottle of wine and two covered plates.
