Darren’s POV:
The journey to my father’s castle was a long one. When I left his house I moved as far away as I could from him so he wouldn’t be able to get to me easily. I was regretting it now. I thought about Maddie throughout the ride. I hoped I would be able to get there and return in time before anything happened to her. I couldn’t stop thinking about her and how I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself if anything were to happen to her.
‘ How long till we get there? ’, I asked the driver.
‘ A few more hours Lord Darren ’, he replied.
‘ Step on the gas. We need to get there as soon as possible ’.
‘ Alright Lord Darren ’, he said as he stepped on the pedal and increased our speed.
I looked out the window. ‘ please wait for me Maddie ’, I said to myself as I did.
