Maddie’s POV:
I just found out that Darren had some covenant mark s**t on his neck that his father had given him in exchange for the flowers that were used to save my life. I was happy that I was alive and not dead and all but I still couldn’t help the fact that I felt it was all my fault which it obviously was. Now Darren’s father gets to ask him to do any one thing and if he refuses to do it he’ll die. What made me scared even more was the fact that Darren told me that his father was awfully close to Veronica, so what if Veronica tells him what to say, she would probably tell him to do some crazy thing, like leave me, or sell me off, or even kill me.
