Everyone who mattered in Danica's life knew about Shaun. They knew the special relationship she'd shared with him, how close they were, and ultimately how he'd passed. She'd never had to explain it to anyone. In fact in 2 years she'd managed to largely avoid conversations about him and what happened. Whenever it did come up she was enveloped in a brain fog that made it hard to speak. It only made it more difficult as she sat in front of Fraser - as she tried figure out what she was meant to say.
