Chapter Seventeen

1091 Words

Julie Vincent was a meddler. For Danica's entire life, she had meddled in things she ought not to. From school work to friends to potential boyfriends, Julie often tried to influence things in a way she thought would benefit her daughter. Sometimes, her input was invaluable and helped greatly - other times, she did too much and pushed things too far. As Julie sat on the sofa between a shell shocked Danica and Fraser, she smiled smugly to herself. She'd known what she was doing when she double booked them, despite her assurances of 'I'd forgotten I was meant to see you both today!' when Fraser entered through the front door. Not only was the two of them visiting cemented firmly in her mind, but it was also orchestrated. It was plainly obvious to Danica, who watched her Mother's smug look.
