Retribution

How much things had escalated in such small period of time. She could see the dark cloud of smoke that was rising up the clouds. She suspected the attack was more than established. She needed to be faster but she ran as soon as she could and as it seemed like the castle was still far off, she harnessed her spirit, her eyes glowed and she hit her staff on the earth as she ran in a way to spring her up. She took a flight per say to a significant distance. She had powers undecided by anyone. She could use anything to her advantage and one could see why she wasn't allowed to participate in anything that mere mortals did. She was considered lethal and a weapon of warfare. She landed in a parcel just close by the Emperor's suite. As she turned to see what the situation was she was almost choked to her bone. People running left and right, screams and echoes of screams filled the air. She couldn't figure out where to start and how to fetch out who was responsible for this. Well the Pacific warriors of course but as at now how many of them had been able to climb through the mountains to their provinces. She searched and found a knight running through. She grabbed him by the Arm and demanded the Emperor's whereabout. "I have no idea ma'am. He had been seen riding out with the Prince and a few others downtown.".. the guard said. She immediately, turned to notice the barn she had observed right behind her. She kicked it down and got atop a white horse and demanded the knight followed her. He grabbed a horse, hopped on it too and they rode out downtown. As they progressed she saw the imperial soldiers heading towards the gate and castle. They halt as they saw their superior. Ibinabo charged to take control of the situation as she was headed to make sure the Emperor was properly guarded as he doubts the people who were with him and possibility of hm giving her orders to take on a full rage attack that might lead to collateral damage. She rides out as fast as the horse could go but she kept on kicking. She gave the other rider a reasonable gap as the had reached a narrow path that was surrounded by the side of the waters. She noticed he was no more. She stopped and turned to check on him. He came riding in slowly. She looked closely and it was as if he was laying on the horse and the speed of the horse was way too reduced for a man in a haste. She knew something was wrong. She dragged her horse to face the direction to which the other horse was coming so she would see very well what was going on. As the horse came forward she got down and held the strap on the horse with strength to halt the horse. She was a powerful and fierce for such a beautiful lady. Someone might mistake her for a subtle angel but she was the perfect knight to employ in the most dangerous situation. She succeeded in the halt and as such the stop threw the guard who was loosely laying over to the ground. She noticed he had 2 arrows stab in the back. As soon as she notice this she had premunition of immediate danger so she turns to do a survey of her surrounding and she hears studs from afar, and it seemed like riders coming in. She immediately turns to climb he horse and ride out but she was held by her legs by the knight in a way to beg for help. She pulls out her sword in response but she immediately calms down as it is him. She takes him and ties him to the saddle of the horse and climbs up and kicks the horse in way that he responded swiftly and right about time to take off. She rides so fast down trying to travel the Emperor's envoy. She seems to know where he was headed. There was a tomb downtown where the Emperor had ordained to be sacred and it was best entered when the Emperor had to think alone or make an unanimous decision that would change the fate of the Empire. She remembers this and was very eager to reach there on time. Before the riders would gain up on her. She had no idea how many they were and she knew not who was after her. She could fight but she was very keen on making sure of the Royals safety first before she could say she could stage a fight against unknown forces which the results maybe not be favourable in the circumstances. Her primary duty and assignment is the Empires safety and as such her duty was as stake and it attracted a punishment. Not from the Emperor but the chiefs and ancestral spirit creatures. She would be visited by them and stripped of her duty and banished if she fails to Crown at all cost. It's been that way before her. She is not he first royal guard, neither will she be the last. Years after years, season after seasons, Ecplise after another. Whatsoever the outcome of each is, it's either the Royal guard is celebrated or stripped off her role. And it was exclusively meant for woman alone. It was the opinion of the ancient ones that a woman is more vulnerable to degrading by anyone who they stand up against. So therefore it was very much recommended that this woman be given extra ordinary abilities and baptized in the moon waters so she may have the light of the moon in her and the strength of the night. Fearless and very much beautiful. Ibinabo with the pressure from the back of mind. Was lost in thought as she rode unknown to her what must be really going on and the damage that has been instigated back at the royal city. But she had to in he mind that they were out to find the Emperor and the prince most especially who had breached their territory. So she was sure she was doing the right thing going after the Emperor to protect him as the attackers would all surely follow suit and head this way. She was sure she would be able to annihilate all attacks from this location with the help of the people who was with the Emperor. Yet she knew not of who was with him well except the names the injured guard had mentioned earlier. She was confident in the prince as a brutal force to align with to fight but based on her doubts and her recent position of questions about the Empire, she couldn't say otherwise about Sandy. She soon finds the chariot settled by the tomb. She drags the horse to a halt and jumps off forgetting about the injured warrior that was strapped on the saddle. But anyways she had more pressing issues to tend to. As soon as she reaches the tomb, it had water dripping by the entrance so she couldn't see what was inside untill she enters, so she pulls out her sword and walks through.
