You lied to me pt.4

Esme's pov

I didn't know what was happening, how could my dad do this to my mom? He was waiting to tell us god that's the biggest lie I've ever heard. Maylee was telling me the truth.

“Karen wait just listen to me,” Don says as he follows Karen out of the dining room.

“I told you, Esme, I wasn't lying to you we are sisters,” Maylee said with hope

“I see that now I'm sorry for doubting you, but I'm going to need some time to process all of this, I'm sorry…” Esme says as she gets up and leaves Maylee to herself.

When Esme gets to her room, she lies down for bed, drifting off to sleep as she contemplates everything that happened today.

“Esme? Are you up yet?” Maylee says from the outside of Esme's door

“ I am now,” Esme says bluntly

“Your mom said that we'd have to figure out our breakfast for school today,” Maylee says

Fuck it's Monday I forgot this is just great I've got to see Sam and Josh both now what fun.

“I was thinking we could grab some breakfast out you know just the two of us maybe we could talk about last night?” Maylee says

“I don't really feel like talking about it this morning Maylee,” Esme says as she gets up and throws a baggy sweatshirt and jeans on.

“Come on ez please we've gotta talk about this at some point,” Maylee begs

Esme swings her door open and walks past Maylee saying

“I'm still processing dude give me a break,”

Maylee follows Esme down the stairs

“Esme we have to talk about this please I was only telling you because I don't want to be taken away okay Dave is going to file for custody he's not even my real dad you know how bad he is Please I've lost so much I can't lose you too,” Maylee says

“Maylee, I'm going to head to school do not follow me, I don't feel like talking about it right now and if you can't respect that then I won't come back,” Esme threatened

“Fine, we won't talk… for now,” Maylee responds with

Esme starts down the road when she spots Maylee getting in the car with Aussie and then driving away.

Esme finally arrives at the school swinging the front doors open she's met by Olive and Teddy

They both throw their arm around her forcing her to walk with them

“You know Teddy, I had this girl try out for cheer last week and o m g she was just terrible,” Olive says in a bitchy way

“Oh, really no way? Honestly, I'd be embarrassed if I tried out and was so bad that the cheer captain told the whole school how bad I was haha,” Teddy says

“I know right like I don't know who she thinks she is but she'd never make the team, it's just laughable honestly haha,” Olive says as she laughs forcing the three of them to turn a corner to see a banner hanging from the ceiling with photoshopped nude pictures of Esme.

“Ouuu how naughty Esme I didn't realize you showed yourself to just anybody… you hear that boys Esme gives it out for free as her besties Teddy and I have taken it upon ourselves to make her only fan page hit me up if you want the link,” Olive says while laughing

Esme tries to leave but Teddy holds her in place.

“You know what while we are here I'll tell you all just to make sure you are safe don't touch Esme's little friend Maylee she has so many STDs I know that because my dad is her doctor and also she is pregnant like ew” Teddy says with an evil smirk

“What are you doing?” Sam says

“Sam I'm so glad you are here,” Olive says

“Let her go, Teddy,” Sam says sternly before saying

“What is wrong With you Olive, you've gone f*****g mad,”

“There's nothing wrong with me Sam it's her showing up and butting into everything you are mine and that's all you'll ever be,” Olive says looking at Sam

“Im, not yours Olive and I never was, get over yourself I only used you to get laid, now f**k off,” Sam says harshly

Sam pushes Teddy away from Esme and pulls her down the hall tearing down the banner in the process.

“Are you okay Esme?” Sam says with a soft tone

“I'm perfectly fine Sam now if you'll excuse me,” Esme says as she steps to the side of him and begins the walk away.

“Where are you going?” Sam asks following her down the hall and continuing with “Your English class is the other way,”

“I am not going to class,” Esme says as she exits the school.

Sam runs after her

“Then where are you going, Esme? Look I know you're probably mad at me but I can fully explain I swear,” Sam says finally catching up with her

“I don't need an explanation Sam, I understand,” Esme says calmly

“Esme what's wrong I figured you'd have screamed at me telling me how f****d up I am and so on,” Sam says

“It is pointless to waste my breath yelling at you when I could just cut you out of my life altogether,” Esme says and begins to walk away

“Wait you can't cut me out I mean we've been through so much Esme I told you I love you,” Sam says

Esme stops and turns around to face him

“You know Sam you did say you love me but I know it wasn't true you said it as a tactic to get me to trust you again, and that's okay because I did and you just hurt me yet again and then I realized I don't even like you Sam let alone love you this is all just a game and you played it very well, but unfortunately,” Esme says stepping closer to fully face Sam “not everything is about you Sam and I don't want you anymore, you're bad for me if I'm going to be the girl I want to be I can't have you in my life because all you do is f**k everything up to the point it can't be fixed,” Esme says and with that, she steps away leaving Sam in the parking lot alone and only able the think about what she had just said to him.

Esme's pov

I know what I said to him was harsh especially after he got me out of that horrible position. I mean not everything was entirely true I did want him, badly if I was being honest. I just don't know what to do anymore my life is all upside down now. Maybe it was best that I said those things to him maybe that will save him from my chaotic life.

Maylee pov

“It's driving me crazy Aussie she won't talk to me, I f****d up didn't I?” Maylee asks as she leans down putting her head in her hands

“She will come around M don't worry I mean it's a lot to take in and after everything else she went through yesterday, I'm not surprised that she does not want to talk,” Aussie says

“Wait what do you mean? Everything else?” Maylee says as they pull into the school
