CHAPTER EIGHTEEN July 2, 2010 Morning Calvin spied Cleo sitting on the garden bench outside, then turned and climbed the stairs to where Martin was moving into a room. This was Calvin’s chance to spy on him without his sister present as a guilty conscience. Calvin often didn’t understand Cleo, but he especially didn’t now. To frost the cake of her grossly disloyal and mindless behavior, she’d grown to resemble Martin in startling ways, especially her eyes and nose.
