Rick wanted to declare war. His fury was palpable, his fists clenched as he paced the room, demanding swift action. But I held my ground, refusing to be swept up in his rage. "We can't rush into this," I said firmly, my voice cutting through the tension like a blade. "As Alpha King, I have a duty to be strategic. We don’t even know for certain who kidnapped our son." Rick’s eyes blazed with frustration. "You think we should just sit and wait? Our enemies see hesitation as weakness, Bella. We need to strike first." I exhaled, steadying myself. "And what if we strike the wrong target? What if, in our haste, we play right into their hands?" The room fell silent for a moment, the weight of my words settling between us. Rick’s jaw tightened, but I could see the wheels turning in his mind.
