58 The sideways hail of bullets cuts off. In the hallway outside the datacenter, men are screaming. Shouting. Boots pound concrete. Shoulders rattle the walls. Guns bark, much more loudly than the last ones. They’re deeper, too, and further apart. Probably Noah’s goons with AK-74s. The gunfire gets more numerous, moving into the hospital proper. Pissed Off Widow’s machine pistol responds, but it’s a quick burst. I scoot forward, thrashing myself free of the frustrating cables tangled around my legs.
