Halvor looked at me with such tenderness. I stared back at him as I processed his words. Did I love him back? I thought of all the times when I was disappointed he was’t spending time with me, or when I thought he had a consort. I thought of how we fought together when we trained and how it was like we were meant for each other. I thought of how happy I had been these last two days being by his side and how he made me feel safe.
Halvor looked away, disappointed but said nothing as he pulled out of me. I reached up and touched his cheek. “I love you too Halvor” I replied.
He grinned at me and gave me a kiss. “Now we really need to sleep” he said as he laid back down next to me. I turned and once again he wrapped his arm around me, pulling me into his warm chest. Sleep quickly
