Mia’s P.O.V.
I watched as Sora slowly drifted off to sleep, I smiled as I leaned on him. “Is he asleep?” My mom asked, with me nodding, still leaning on him. “Yes, he’s asleep.” I looked at Sora seeing his sleeping face, causing me to blush a bit. “H-He’s so cute when he sleeps, he’s like a baby” He moved a bit, and I jumped a bit, he only moved enough to move his body a bit. “You shouldn’t have said that… he needs to know the truth.” Rose said, with a serious tone. “What are you talking about sis?” Rose looked back at me, or it seemed like she was, she was actually looking at Sora. “You know what i’m talking about, we can’t keep hiding the truth from him…” I looked at Sora slowly. “B-But sis… he’s not ready yet…” I looked at Sora’s face, with his cute sleeping face. “Then when is he ready?! It’s been almost 18 years, we can’t keep this secret from him!” I flinched slightly as my mom said. “Don’t yell at your sister Rose.” I saw Rose glare at Sora slightly as he was still asleep. “Mia, Rose is right… He’s almost 18, and he’s already been contacted by them. There’s only so much we can do now, he already formed a contract with it, it’s dangerous enough to have him near us now…” Every word she said felt like small daggers in my heart, she couldn’t be thinking of leaving him, could she? “B-But we can’t leave him! W-We took a vow to keep him safe!” I saw mom and Rose flinch slightly. “I-I know Mia… and that vow still stands, it seems like whatever made the contract has yet to take control of him yet… which means that it’s still being blocked.” I looked down slightly, as mom kept driving, eventually stopping at a red light. “Mia we have to tell him, and you know it. It’s for his own good.” I looked at Sora, with a few tears forming in my eyes. “F-Fine… just can we wait a week or two more?...” Mom sighed and Rose groaned slightly. “Fine, one more week, no more.” I smiled and looked out the window, with the light turning green, and cars passing us. When mom was about to start driving I thought I saw Higetsu looking at the car, then a car passed by him, with him disappearing, and mom continuing to drive home.
After about thirty-five minutes we arrive home, slowly pulling into the driveway. Mom stops the car, turning it off, with her and Rose getting out. I looked at Sora, who was still asleep, I slowly reached for his arm, shaking him gently. “Mmm…” I heard him make a noise as he moved a bit, slowly opening his eyes. “Hey… Sleep well?” I asked in a soft voice, with him nodding. “Yeah, I needed that nap.” He said stretching a bit, and yawning. “H-He’s so cute when he wakes up!” I saw him open the car door stepping out, as he held out his hand to me. “Come on little one, we should go in before they think we are up to something.” He said with a soft smile. “D-Damnit Sora! W-Why do you have to be both kind and cute!!” I slowly take his hand as he pulls me out of the car, barely able to keep my footing. I lost my balance falling on Sora, knocking us both down to the ground, Sora was on the ground while I was on top of him. “Well now, I didn’t see this coming.” He said laughing softly, like he doesn’t have a care in the world. “So little one, now that you have me on the ground, what do you plan to do?” I felt my face flush as he said that, with me jumping up. I could hear his laugh again, as he stood up, wiping off the dirt of his jacket. “I-I’m sorry Sora!” I said slightly bowing, with him patting my head gently. “It’s ok little one, now let's go inside.” I looked up at him, seeing him smile with his black hair blowing in the wind, feeling my face flush. “O-Ok Sora.” I looked down slightly as Sora turned to walk to the door, with me following him. “We have to tell him… I only have one week left with Sora…” As we reached the door I saw Sora look back smiling, with him taking my hand. “Time to go in.” I nodded as he opened the door, walking in and gently pulling me in with him.
Sora’s P.O.V
I walked into my new home as I noticed Mia’s Mom, Phoebe, and Rose are sitting down on the couch. “Hey there, what are you two up to?” I asked walking over, seeing them both jump a bit looking back. “O-Oh nothing Sora.” It looked like Phoebe hid something behind her, smiling a bit. “Okay then? So where am I going to sleep? I don’t mind sleeping on the couch.” Phoebe and Rose looked at each other, before nodding. “Well you can share a room with Mia for a bit.” I felt Mia jump slightly, I decided to look back at her, seeing her blush. “Will that be ok for us to share a room?” I asked looking back towards Rose and Phoebe, seeing Phoebe nod. “Yeah I don’t mind, besides I don;t want you sleeping on the couch.” I smiled looking down at Mia. “Well looks like we are roommates.” I saw her blush nodding, smiling a bit. “Y-Yeah, looks like it!” I saw her smiling face, as I looked out the window, noticing something weird. “What is that?” I saw something with pitch black eyes looking directly at me, with a smile that sent shivers down my spine. What I saw was a person with bright red hair and what looked like burn marks all over his skin, and his pitch black eyes, that felt like they were looking into my soul. “Sora? Are you ok?” I heard Mia ask me, with me looking at her. “Y-Yeah i’m fine Mia, just was a little shaken by the person outside.” I said looking back at the window, to see that no one was there. “Sora who are you talking about?” I didn’t respond for a second as thoughts were racing through my mind. I felt Mia shake me a bit. “Sora are you ok…?” I looked at her slowly nodding. “Y-Yeah I-I’m ok Mia, I think the nap I took wasn’t enough.” I said smiling a bit. “I’m going to lay down in our room for a bit.” I looked at Mia to see some worry in her face before she nodded. I just smiled walking towards Mia’s and my room, closing the door. I slowly breathed in, as I walked to Mia’s bed before laying down. I closed my eyes slowly trying to fall to sleep, as I then heard a voice laugh a bit. “I notice you can see them now?” I quickly jumped out of the bed, nearly falling down, looking forward to see Higetsu leaning against the wall. “Higetsu, how did you get in here?!” I slightly yelled as I could see his smirk. “I would recommend not using your voice, you never know who may be listening.” I sighed softly just looking at him. “Just tell me how you got in here, and how in the hell did you even get here, we drove for like thirty-five minutes to get here.” I heard his laugh in my head, as he stopped leaning on the wall. “Do you not remember the mark on my arm? The one that binds us together?” I tilted my head slightly as the memory flashed in my head, of him pulling his sleeve down revealing a crimson red pentagram on his arm. “Yeah I remember.” I felt my neck heat up, like it was slightly burning. I quickly grabbed my neck as the heat built up. “W-What have you done?!” I slightly demanded as he walked to me slowly. “What have I done? I haven’t done anything to you.” I looked at him to see his eyes flash a deep crimson red, and his demonic smirk. “All I have done is make a contract with you, I gave you my power, I helped you save your friend.” He said stopping in front of me, as I felt my neck burn like it was being touched by fire. “C-Contract what do you mean by that?!” I fell to my knees in pain gripping my neck. “I mean you made a contract with my kind.” I looked up at him, his eyes now a deep crimson red. “Y-Your kind?” He smirked as I saw what looked like a shadowy substance form around him. “Yes, don’t you know? I'm sure you heard of us, i’m sure you also know of angels, my kind is the other side of an angel.” I felt my neck burn even more as i yelled in pain. His words echoed in my mind, as he said. “I’m a demon.” I felt my body fall to the ground as my eyes closed, falling into what felt like darkness.
