I had been at the party for over an hour now and I had been introduced to Alicia's family, her parents were so nice to me, her brothers were still busy in school and could not make it back for the party.
It turned out the man who was throwing the party was a close family friend of the family and also a big shot in the legal world and this party was an annual thing, so it was kind of a big deal.
Alicia's mum had dragged us around, introducing us to everyone she knew, by the time we had managed to get away from her, I was exhausted and in need of something to drink.
