Faedra's POV
I stepped out of the room and relaxed a breath I didn't know I was holding. I felt choked up in the room with Shades. My heart continued to race as I walked away hurriedly from the corridor and to my room.
Once I arrived at my room, I shut the door and collapsed on my bed. My heart beats didn't return to normal. It continued racing for some reason. I shut my eyes and all I could see was her. Why was she hunting me.
Her pretty innocent face continued to taunt me. "Damn Faedra" i cursed out.
Why wouldn't she just leave me.
what was I even doing?
Shades was crazy. I thought about his earlier proposal, I wasn't surprised. He has always been the crazy one right from time. Always saying and doing outrageous things. It was why we never got along after being kicked out and becoming rogue wolves, his wayward behavior.
I bit my lower lip and hit my face repeatedly wondering if I had become crazy like Shades. What was I thinking?
I remembered the words he said to me.
"There's more than one way to break her" He wasn't wrong.
"There are many ways to break her" I repeated his words feeling a bit uncomfortable and strangely excited. A little smile creeped up and dominated my face. I bit my lips to stop myself from smiling but it was of no use.
"Do I actually feel intrigued by this?" I whispered to myself.

Shade's POV
Castor frowned disapprovingly at me and walked out of my room without another word. I signed and walked to the window, many things running through my mind. I took out another stick of cigarettes from my pack and lit it. I stared at it for a few seconds before taking it to my lips to take a long drag. I puffed and mumbled. "Well f**k him"
THE NEXT MORNING
I walked down to the kitchen in gray sweatpants and sweatshirts. "Goodnight Alpha Shades" The maids greeted me and I walked past them with a wave, ignoring them. I and Castor had f****d almost all the female maids in the villa. Nothing excited me anymore in them. They looked old, plain and boring, unlike a certain red haired. I smiled and walked to the coffee machine holding two mugs. I knew Castor was going to walk down soon.
I turned on the coffee maker and began to brew the coffee. As predicted Castor walked down the stairs in similar sweatpants and sweatshirts, only that his was blue.
"Wakey wakey, Eggs and Bacon" I said and Castor turned to look at me. "Good morning brother. Hope you had a lovely night and thought about what we spoke about last night" I said with a fake smile.
He looked abit surprised. He had probably not expected me to be there. I rolled my eyes as I watched him frown. Castor signed and walked towards me. "I need coffee, Move out of the way shades." He mumbled dryly to me with a bored expression. I smirked and passed him one of the coffee I had just brewed. He looked at my stretched out hand and then the coffee much. He stared at me suspiciously. "What?" I asked him innocently and took a sip of my own coffee. "It's not poisoned. I knew you'd be coming down to make coffee so I made an extra one for you brother" I said to him. He let out a sigh and hesitantly grabbed the mug from my hand. "Yeah thanks" He said to me and I only nodded.
"You haven't answered my question " I reminded him. Castor shrugged and took the mug to his mouth. He took a sip and frowned sticking his tongue out. He walked over to the counter to drop the mug and glared at me. "It's too sweet" He complained. "Just as I'd suspected earlier. It wasn't going to be a normal coffee with how you were behaving. I should have just brewed mine" He sighed like a father scolding his son.
I rolled my eyes at his words and smirked at him. "What if we grow the stake for the game?"
Castor turned to me, his brows furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean?" He asked me and I shrugged casually.
"Haven't you always been looking for that one thing?" I asked back, he looked even more confused.
"What? What are you talking about" Castor sounded annoyed this time.
"What you have been looking for" I refused to mention what it was to him. "Well, it turns out it has always been with me. I wanted to see you shatter it to pieces, but seeing how you searched for it like a mad dog, i thought it'll come in handy"
Castor suddenly pulled me by my collar and growled in my face. "Why didn't you tell me earlier! You know how much I needed it, you kept it!"
"It's simple, I kept it for moments like this Castor. I know I could've used this for the better but I want to see that bastard's humiliated face. I want to see him curse out in anger and humiliation when he realizes what has happened. What do you think brother? Want to play this game with me?" I grinned at him and he looked at me irritated. I didn't care.
Just then, someone walked in on us. We both paused. We recognized the scent, it was Faedra. She came down the stairs and stared at us. We both turned our head to her and she had a look of confusion, probably wondering what was going on.
I pulled myself away from Castor and smiled at him, ignoring her.
"So brother?" I nodded at Faedra and stared back at Castor. "What do you say?" He gritted his teeth and finally let go of my collar. I let out a chuckle.
"Remember your words Shades" He whispered harshly to me. "If I break her first, I win. It'll be mine and you will return it!"
"Of course brother, you have my word" I whispered back to him and he huffed and stormed out of the room.
I smiled and ran my tongue over my lower lip, taking a sip of my coffee. This was going to be interesting.
