The bitterness in her voice had him puzzled. What had happened to her? Had he done something? Was the food not good? She was fine just minutes ago!
Before Daniel could understand, Adrianna had gotten up from her chair and had already gone towards the bedroom. The loud manner in which she had shut the door was enough to make him snap out of his daze. The last thing they were talking about was Paul and Maisie's wedding and then he had gone to bring the casserole that he had made. What had happened in that brief span to make her so upset? Placing the pan on the table, he made his way to the bedroom and tried to open the door, only to find it locked.
