He didn't know what he was expecting or how he was expecting the day to end. The meeting with Adrianna hadn't really gone as he had anticipated, even though he had shared everything that he wanted to, most important being clearing his name. The hurt that he felt upon hearing Adrianna's response and the realisation that he might have failed spoiled his mood to an extent that he simply wanted to isolate himself so that he could work through his anger and annoyance. But that couldn't really happen as he had to travel to Hailey. His entire family was supposed to be there. Not to forget that he was the one who had organized it. He had hoped that he would be in a better mood after the meeting, but that hadn't been the case.
