He killed Denzel

( AVA'S POV )
I found Denzel at a local diner, he sat alone with his head bent on the table. I reached him with my hands wrapping his back.
“ Are you okay Denzel? “ I asked.
Denzel rose, showing eyes that seemed like he had been crying. He rushed me into a tight hug.
“ I'm not, my parents are getting a divorce. “
My heart sank, “ Oh my God, I am so sorry to hear that. “
“ No matter what I did, my presence didn't change their mind. Its like I don't matter. “ As he narrated, he cried. All I could do was to pacify him with hugs and soft patting on his back. The situation got worse when I realised that Denzel had been drinking, he couldn't even stand. It was raining, I drove him home in his car. Because it was late I had no option than to spend the night in Denzel's House. But nothing intimate happened between us.
The next morning was school day, denzel offered me some of his clothes to wear since mine was drenched from last night. The moment I entered the class, Sebastian's gaze fell heavy on me. I could see the red tone of his eyes increase. His brows furrowed, his jaw tightened, he had an expression that could kill, I knew immediately that he was jealous.
Immediately I sat, I heard his voice ring in my head, “ Where did you sleep last night my one? “
The pitch of his voice sent fear in me which was odd, I had long stopped being afraid of Sebastian.
“ At home. “ I lied, I didn't think about the consequences, all I could think of was that I didn't want to get him furious.
His face changed, there was a dark cloud that suddenly camped around his eyes. The board marker he held fell to the floor, had he figured out that I was lying?
“ Are you lying to me Ava? “ He called me by my name.
I shook my head.
“ Don't act innocent. And what is that clothes you are wearing? It doesn't look like yours. “
I tried connecting with his eyes, to get him to calm down but when I looked at him, I saw him give Denzel a suspicious glare. The jig was up, Sebastian knew of my whereabouts.
“ fine, denzel texted me last night that his parents are getting a divorce, I went to see him. But I swear nothing happened between us. “ I revealed.
“ Is that why you lied? “ The melodic tone of his voice got scary, I recognised the rhythm.
“ I'm sorry_
“ Do you think you can deceive me? “
I swallowed hard, fear crippling my very position. Then the professor spoke aloud.
“ Ava Luke stand. “ his voice was commanding. I obeyed, completely terrified of what was about to happen next.
Sebastian began, “ Some of you misuse my calm demeanor for foolishness and my willingness to shelter for stupidity_
By that time the entire class was looking at me.
“ Ava you are owing three class presentations, five assignments and a test. “
I was surprised, those were the ones he told me not to worry about as benefits for dating him.
“ By the end of today i want to see all those works. “ he strictly said.
“ But it's impossible… “ I muttered.
“ That is none of my concern. “
By the end of classes, I started with the presentations, but I was distracted when denzel approached me.
“ Can I take you somewhere? “ He asked leaning on my table.
“ Denzel, i’m busy. “
“ Screw all of this, I promise I'll help you later. It'll be so much fun! “ Before I could make up my mind, Denzel pulled me to a stand and took me away.
It was a cave party somewhere in the woods. The entire time I was thinking about Sebastian finding out. Unplanned, denzel shoved a bottle of alcohol through my mouth and I drank. I found myself dancing with him, he even kissed me. Not too long after the kiss Sebastian visited me. It was the harshest visitation ever, I felt a trenchant cut s***h past my ears that made me go blank, then his voice came.
“ Get yourself outside now. “
I obeyed the voice immediately. When I came outside I saw him standing in front of his car. We drove silently to his house, no eye contact or any conversation made.
“ You let another man touch you? “ Sebastian asked the moment we entered his house.
I gave him space, fumbling with my bag as I had no words to say.
“ Answer me Ava don't let me hurt you. “
I was scared, but a sinister energy in me liked the fact that professor Sebastian was jealous. Something about his actions made me feel special.
He slapped me, but not physically. It was a spiritual hit that sent me staggering.
“ I do not want to lay my hand on you! “ He screamed.
I leaned on a table.
“ Tell me, did you not know that you belonged to me? “
“ It was a mistake. “ My voice was frigid.
“ Go upstairs now! “ He yelled. I scurried up the stairs and into his room. But the worse was about to happen. Some 20 minutes later, Sebastian summoned me back downstairs. What I saw was an imagery that shook me to my core. Sebastian had kidnapped denzel, tied him to the ground and was whipping him with a cane made of thorns.
“ You dare touch my woman! I will make you pay! “ he screamed while he flogged denzel.
I tried to get involved, to help denzel but before I could move Sebastian froze me at a spot with his powers. All I could do was to watch and cry.
After a while of flogging, denzel was weak, bleeding and laying on the floor. Sebastian pointed at me, his anger was ignited.
“ Is he the one that touches you without my permission? “ He asked as he approached me. His voice assumed a darker print. It was though multiple people were talking in demonised voices.
I didn't know how to relay a reply.
“ Answer me Ava, don't test my patience! “ His wrath was evident in the way he spoke.
“ Yes… he is. “ I replied petrified by the voices.
“ Hmmm, he deserves punishment then. “
The most bizarre and mind blowing thing happened, Sebastian transformed into a monster. Thick black horns rose from his skull, two in number, his eyes turned completely red, black long beard grew from his acute chin, sharp long claws busted through his fingers. The strangest one was the giant black wings that grew from his back.
I was beyond shocked, I did not know who or what I was staring at. With his claws, Sebastian beheaded denzel.
