Emily Harper I could not believe my eyes. It really was the French b1tch. Anna. I had never wanted to punch her face as much as I did in that moment, but it seemed like that was exactly what she wanted. She stepped out of the elevator and laughed at me, her hands moving to her hips in a way that made her look even more dangerous than she already did. "Are you surprised to see me? I backed away, my heart racing as memories of snakes surfaced in my mind. This was not how this was supposed to happen. I should have known better than to think that Rye would actually come see me. I should not have come here. "Emily," Anna called out, her tone mocking me. "It's been a long time since we've seen each other." There was something in her voice that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
