NELISSA’S POV The birds chirping outside tells me that the morning has come. Their tiny wings flapping in the wind rustles the tree leaves and forms a backdrop to the happy sounds of children playing. The strength and energy I feel coursing through my body tells me the worst has passed. I feel ready to head back out. I open my eyes and take a gander of my surroundings, and sure enough, there is Lillith, sitting on a chair by the open window.
