NELISSA’S POV
I find it difficult to process the implication of Lilith’s words. My head starts to spin as I lift my back from the bed and prop myself up on my elbows. The pain is manageable, and besides, it's the least of my worries right now.
"What do you mean by that, Lily?" I ask incredulously.
The young girl just wraps her arms around herself, withdrawing into the sorrow borough on by her memories.
"Lily…" I whisper. "Please, tell me everything…"
Rahlia is still sitting on the other side of me, listening in rapt silence. I spare her a glance and I can see the sadness in her eyes–the same as the one growing in my soul at the moment.
