"What did you mean doctor", Daniel said moving close towards the doctor back "Coma?, Why would she be in a coma?", Daniel shouted as tears was threatening to fall from his eyes.
"The hit on her head really affected her so much that we almost lost her but thankfully we were able to save her for now. We will keep watching her and how she responds to treatment we give to her", The doctor explained.
"When is the possible time for her to wake up", Mrs Jones who was completely shocked about the news asked.
"I can't say for now, her chances of waking up is 50/50 percent", The doctor replied.
"What did you mean by that?", James asked nervously.
"She might wake up and might never wake up", The doctor replied.
"So are you saying she might not survive this if luck is not by her side?", Davina asked worriedly.
"Yes", The doctor replied.
"Oh my God", Suzy shouted as she started crying.
"You can check on her after she get moved to a private ward, Ward 21B so I will take my leave now", The doctor said and walked away.
"This is not happening, I can't believe this", Milada said as worry took over her.
"Suzy, please stop crying and calm down", Ken moving towards Suzy.
"Calm down?! Don't you hear what the doctor said? She might not wake up", Suzy shouted.
"And she might wake up", Melissa said pulling Suzy on the chair as they both sit down "It's 50/50 percent chances and I'm sure Jane will wake up, She will be back to us and we will all go shopping like we always do, she is strong and will push through", Melissa assured her as tears roll down her face too and she embrace Suzy while others watched them as they were all afraid and worried.
Not long after, shouts could be heard as the nurses was trying to calm the person shouting down.
"I said where is my daughter, do not hold me", The voice who seems so very angry shouted.
"Calm down ma'am", One of the nurses said
"Do not tell me to calm down again", Jane's mum shouted angrily.
"I think Jane's mum is here already", Daniel said and he was right as Jane's mum comes to their view.
"These are the people that brought your daughter here, you can talk to them and then go check up on her", One of the nurses said pointing to Mrs Jones and others and the nurses went away.
"Where's my daughter?", Jane's mum asked looking at Mrs Jones and the students.
"Ma'am_", Daniel started but was cut short by Mrs Jones as she moves close to Jane's parents.
"Mrs Jones?", Jane's father said as he didn't know his daughter's teacher as he was always busy with work, he only heard about her from his wife and daughter.
"Yes I am sir", Mrs Jones replied and was interested immediately slapped by Jane's mum as she and others was surprised including Jane's father.
"What's wrong with you?", Jane's father said angrily.
"Are you not capable of looking after your students huh?", Jane's mum shouted "You know very well Jane is my only daughter, I never want to leave her in the school hostel but you assured me nothing will happen to her as there is adequate security in the school, how would you explain this huh? How did my daughter end up in the hospital? Answer me!", Jane's mum asked shouting.
"Ma'am, it's not Mrs Jones fault", Cassandra said getting angry by Jane's mum rude attitude and at the same time understand she was hurt but she shouldn't have taken it on their innocent teacher who knew absolutely nothing about what's going on.
"Whose fault is it then?", Jane's mum shouted angrily.
"Calm down", Jane's father said holding his wife.
"Don't tell me to calm down", Jane's mum said angrily "It's her fault", She shouted pointing at Mrs Jones.
"I'm sorry", Mrs Jones said composing herself as she was surprised by how Jane's mum slapped her.
"What exactly happened and how is my daughter?", Jane's father asked calmly.
"She_", Mrs Jones started but was cut short by Aaron who notice their teacher situation with Jane's parents.
"Jane is in coma sir", Aaron said nervously.
"What!", Jane's mum exclaimed as she suddenly becomes dizzy
"What happened?", Jane's father asked almost shouting.
"She was missing earlier this morning and when we found her she was covered in blood, we thought it was something minor until we came to the hospital and she was rushed to the Intensive care unit and we were told she falls into coma", Sophia explained as few years dropped from her eyes.
"The doctor said she was hit on her head and it really affect her", Cara added.
"No!No!No", Jane's mum shouted as she start crying "My poor baby", She shouted.
"I'm really sorry", Mrs Jones said.
"No it's not your fault", Jane's father told her while he hold his wife who was crying uncontrollable. "Which ward is she in?", He asked.
"She is in Ward 21B, you can ask for direction from the nurses at the reception sir", Amor replied.
"I'm sorry about my wife attitude", Jane's father apologize to Mrs Jones.
"Yes sir", Mrs Jones replied and Jane's parents went away to see their daughter.
"Are you okay ma'am?", Veronica asked moving towards their teacher.
"Yes I am", She replied "Do you guys have any idea about who did this to Jane? Anyone in mind", She asked looking at her students.
"No ma'am", They all replied.
"Jane is the only one that can give us full explanation on who do this to her and we can only know when she wakes up", Alex said looking at their teacher.
"I hope and pray she wakes up", Stella said worriedly.
"She will by God's grace", Ethan prayed.
"Let's return back to school, it's getting late and beside the principal have called asking for explanation for what happened", Mrs Jones told them.
"How did the school know?", Ivanita asked.
"News travelled, I guess Jane's mum called already", Cassandra said.
"We can't go yet, we haven't check on Jane", Daniel said "We should at least see her before leaving."
"We will but not today, let her parents be with her", Mrs Jones said.
"That's right and besides we don't want her mum being rude to Mrs Jones again", Jason said as others nod and they all went out of the hospital and head back to school worriedly.
"Who could have done this to Jane?", Ivanita thought as they head back to school.
